I think #1 debuted at SDCC.

I'm a fan of the books, so when available, I hope my shop orders this.

Although, I always though of Moiraine as a blonde... Not that I can adjust. Cover art from the books I guess.

All the best...

I don't think they actually SOLD #1 at SDCC, at least that's my understanding. They just had it to show.

To my knowledge, #1 is out, and sold out. Though I haven't heard any confirmation from Diamond about that...

NEW SPRING

Issue #1 for NEW SPRING was sold out BEFORE it hit the retail shelves.

Those of you that are interested in a subscription for the 8 issue series can subscribe to the series at www.red-eagle-entertainment.com.

If you want to be assured of obtaining a copy of an issue you need to either subscribe or my understanding is place a deposit with your favorite comic retailer.

Issue #2 will be available for purchase the first week of September.

Red Eagle Entertainment will be publishing the availability dates of future issues on the Red Eagle web site in the near future.

ENJOY!

Its great work, I love the penciling. Are you using 3-D for the backgrounds or are you drawing them? And who is your colorist?-Whoever he is, hes one talented individual. I can't wait to buy this.

None of the backgrounds are 3D.

Etienne St. Laurent is the colorist, and he's doing a fantastic job of it.

I just bought the first issue today, and I LOVED it. the most beutiful artwork i've seen in a LONG while.

I must say I had 1 complaint, and only 1 complaint.

why was there no Wheel of Time map included? It would have helped newer readers see the scope of the world Jordan has created.

Is Issue #1 actually sold out?

Does anyone know if issue #1 can still be ordered through your local comic store? I'm asked several shops locally and its hard to believe not one of them heard of this series coming out. They said they would look into it and get back to me....I'm hoping they can still get the issue in. I'd hate to miss an issue.

Jason,

The series is listed in the Diamond 'Previews' every month since April along with full page ads. There is no excuse for a retailer not to know about it.

We are finding that most of the WOT fans worldwide are not necessarily comic book readers. However, a good retailer will realize that this series will drive 'new' customers into their store that may not have visited them before.

You may want to point out to those retailers who have not ordered the series (although it was sold out through comic retailers BEFORE it hit the shelf) that they can place an order through Diamond for future issues.

You may want to give your retailer a deposit to insure you receive your copy or if you missed out on Issue #1 there is a limited quantity available if you order a subscription at www.red-eagle-entertainment.com.

There are no plans to do a reprint of the first issue!

I hope this helps.

Looks absolutely great again, the first issue made good on its promise, cool stuff.

I'm plugging this series on the Dutch Nightwish fanclub forum, quite a few people into fantasy and Jordan there. They were already interested beforehand and liked the look of the first issue's cover. Now I have posted some of the preview pages and they absolutely loved what they were seeing. And I told the issue was sold out already which was not to their liking........but I directed them to a Dutch comic mail order where the issue is still available......probably a few readers more, some of them who don't really have anything with comics otherwise.
