Her face looks 11 while her body is that if a boxum young 20's person. They look very odd together to me.

Looks entertaining to me.

I kind of wonder how well they'll pull off a jungle adventure story set in the Amazon instead of the Congo. You don't have a lot of those traditional jungle creatures to cause trouble. No lions, no elephants, no leopards, etc. I guess there are always jaguars, crocodiles and, of course, humans.

I'm not familiar with Sheena, is she basically a female Tarzan?

Basically.

Although in the TV series from a few years ago, they gave her the superpower of morphing into animals. I doubt that will be in this version.

Also, you may be familiar with Marvel's version of Sheena, Shanna.

Was Sheena really the first female comic book character?

It's a shame I have no faith in Rodi to deliver even a halfway decent story. Gave him a shot on other female leads. Gave him a shot on Eleckra which was really bland, Rogue was terrible, and Codename Knockout (anyone remember that) was bad as well. All those books were subsequently cancelled.

And don't forget the Sheena movie that came out in the 80s.

Well, it should be forgotten. It's horrible, but there are couple of good scenes with Tanya Roberts.

Yeah, but "Codename: Knockout" had Amanda Conner and Ed Benes drawing barenaked boobies. For that alone I'll never part with my few issues I have.

At last a book that cuts to the chase with its unashamed titilation for the teen market. Looks like a great comic for foot fetishists!

I guess you don't know many 11-year olds and the ones you know must be very special.

Steven's art is absolutely the right choice for this! I've seen every panel and they are all amazing with great characters and detailed backgrounds! Can't wait to get it!

Codename: Knockout was intentionally comedic with absurd elements. Perhaps that wasn't your cup of tea.

So? Cancellation doesn't necessarily mean bad quality. Just look at Manhunter, Chase, Young Heroes In Love, Captain Marvel, Marvel Team-Up and a loooong et cetera.

He didn't say the 11 year old kids LOOK like that body-wise, just that she has a very young pre-teen looking face.

I agree. Yeh and I know many many pre-teen girls regrettably. (Obnoxious lot IMO!)

I understood what he meant to say perfectly. He made a very clear distinction between her face and body. And while I agree she looks young, she doesn't look like an 11-year old. It's not uncommon for young adults to have younger-looking faces (and bodies) and that's what she looks like.

It would seem you need to go back and spend more time with them. And definitely more time looking at different representations of women in comics.

This Sheena looks too manga. Prefer a more photorealistic style.
Nice touch of the Golden Age costume but they should drop the skirt and make it a bikini bottom.
I'll still give it a chance. The Jusko cover sounds promising.

If this Sheena is South American, they should base her on South American actress Sofia Vergara. See the incredibly hot Sofia on her tv show "Fueria de Seria."
