THE EMPTY CHAMBER SIGNS DEAL WITH COMFLIX

Comflix Studios has signed a deal with the Empty Chamber creative team and Silent Devil to produce four 3-minute episodes based directly from the pages of the book. M. Sean McManus will direct.

"Comflix Studios is very excited about getting into business with comic book creators of this stature," says Comflix CEO Scott Schneider. "The exciting work displayed in Empty Chamber by A. David Lewis and Jason Copland is exceptional and ideally suited for the Comflix adaptation process. We think that this partnership, along with our continually expanding relationship with Silent Devil comics, will lead to great things in the future."

Comflix Studios adds music, sound and motion to comic book art and turns it into an episodic download you can watch right on your cellphone. Empty Chamber is a 2-issue comic book published by Silent Devil, lending well to this new medium.

"I'm thrilled that the journey that has been Empty Chamber is finally reaching such a wide audience," says co-creator A. David Lewis. "Even though it's only a two-issue series, it has been percolating and getting revised for a long time. Therefore, to have both the complete series in readers' hands and also have Comflix working on an adaptation for their own medium is sensational. The series is a real departure for me as a creator, though it was fun to work with Jason Copland and Jenn Rodgers again. This time, however, we got to do some slam-bang action-adventure -- It's a level of adrenaline that I never really got to inject (or enjoy) in my other books."

Empty Chamber joins a growing list of titles to featured on the Comflix site, including recent arrivals Living in Infamy, The Assassin and The Last Sin of Mark Grimm. Episodes of Dracula vs. King Arthur are already available for download.
