Naw the second song was pretty bad. I thought they were going to put her through after the first song, but were disappointed the second was so poor.

im watching it cause my friend is going to be making an appearance, but its killing me to watch this show waiting for her to show up.

they whine and bitch when theyre told how bad they are, guess what? thats how it is, thats the business.

i hope my friend shows up soon. banging my head on my wall to reduce the pain of watching this garbage is losing its effect

but the thing is if a lot of people they pick did a second song you would hear how bad they are. That's why when they get to holloywood so many get exposed. It's like a 100 people when they first get to hollywood. Remember hollywood isn't not the start of the real show.

She might lose her scholarship if they catch her singing like THAT. Seriously, no one with ANY amount of real opera training would sing so completely unsupported like that. I was cringing.

Was anyone else REALLY disappointed that Simon wasn't there for part of it? It just wasn't the same. I want them to release like a podcast of him commenting on all the ones he missed.

Edit: Oh, one more thing, did anyone else just not buy that that first guy they let through was only 16? I didn't for one minute. Forget the fact that he looks about 25, or that his voice is completely developed and mature. But just the way he spoke and held himself was as an adult, not a 16 year old.

Actually, I was really impressed with Carol... whatever her name was. Beyond the fact that she's had her face reconstructed to make her look like Joan Collins, I thought she had a lot of constructive things to say, but wasn't pulling any punches with the auditioners. I wouldn't mind seeing more of her next year, maybe as a regular judge. Or, if Simon makes any noise about wanting more money, they could just go to her.
