JOHN RIDLEY ON ALTER EGO'S COMIC CAST

Press Release

Author and screenwriter John Ridley talks about his acclaimed comic book series American Way on this week's "Alter Ego Comic Cast," available for download beginning today. The Alter Ego Comic Cast can be found on iTunes or by visiting http://www.alteregocomiccast.com

“We talk with John about the striking political and racial themes in American Way, and how the miniseries has been compared to groundbreaking stories like Watchmen and Astro City,” said Jason Pierce, owner of Alter Ego Comics and co-host of the show. "We also talked about the possibility of more stories within the American Way universe as well as his upcoming horror story from Wildstorm."

A writer, movie director, and commentator for National Public Radio, John Ridley has made his mark penning novels, TV shows, screenplays, comic books and Internet series. With a resume that includes writing on TV series like Third Watch and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and screenplay experience on the movie Three Kings, Ridley gained considerable attention for his first novel, Stray Dogs, which was made into the motion picture U-Turn, directed by Oliver Stone.

The Alter Ego Comic Cast started this year for fans and subscribers on iTunes. Featuring the voices of store owner Pierce, Steve Schuler and Drew Slentz in a formatted discussion of comic book news and reviews, the new podcast already has hundreds of subscribers and continues to grow each week.

Bold statement. I'd have to ponder that one a bit. No question though about the quality of this book though.
