Does anyone remember the short-lived MTV CGI-animated Spiderman series? I saw a few episode once back a few years and really liked the look of the characters and the action and the storyline. If anyone knows where I can fidn those now I'd be very interested.

The entire series has been available on dvd for some time now. You should be able to find it anywhere but check Target, Best Buy, eBay or Amazon

They have them in a DVD collection with a Spiderman: Final Chapter type ending.

[quote=samnoir]I'd hate to see an Avengers movie featuring second stringers like the Avengers United They Stand cartoon. QUOTE]
This is where this announcement scares me. If they go the way of featuring the second stringers, I think this movie is going to suck big time. I don't see this working well without at least the big three(Cap, IM, and Thor) but with their own movies coming out so soon I don't know how practical that is going to be. Without them, I really question whether this will be a team most would recognize or even care to see on the big screen. If they find a way to make this work, it has the potential to be killer so I'll wait till I hear more before passing judgment.

There's going to come a point when Marvel will have nothing but sequels coming out on film or DVD. We know what happened when WB tried to milk the Superman franchise for 4 movies.
So will the public be interested in X-men 4, Spider-man 4? Sales won't always be there, I think if Marvel is really serious about the longterm survival of their intellectual properties for film they need to be more cautious and if anything they should be tighter continuity with the comics so that they don't end up in a Richard Pryor festival of poorly made sequals.

Yeah, what a terrible way to end the series. I realize they probably didn't know that was going to be the last episode, but geez.

I don't know why you people are so worried about no Iron Man, Cap or Thor. Read the article:

This practically guarantees them being in the film!

Well they've already hit 3 with the X-Men, Blade, and Spider-Man (well, almost) franchises and while the 3rd installments for Xmen and Blade weren't quite as good as the others, they were light years better than the 3rd Bat and Sup movies. And (fingers crossed) SM3 looks like the best yet.

Will the Avengers movie have the same Cap, IM, and Thor from their individual films?
I doubt it, and it will be mighty confusing if they keep changing the cast.

Included with the list of straight to DVD projects, Teen Avenegrs, listed as being in development, along with Iron Man and Spider-Man animated series.
In terms of feature films, the company also reiterated that the sequel to the Hulk is likely to be the second feature film to be released as part of Marvel’s self-financed film slate, following 2008’s Iron Man. Again, David Self was named as writer of an upcoming Captain America film, with Andrew Marlowe listed as the writer of Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD, Mark Protosevich writing Thor, and as a new addition, Zak Penn was named as writer of The Avengers.
Marvel’s description of the film property reads:

2008 is going to be the year of the heroes! Can't wait to see both Thor and Nick Fury. The Avengers are going to rock, though I'm not sure about this "Teen" Avengers thingy...

All I can say is that if Cap, Iron Man, Thor and Hawkeye arent in it, im not seeing it.
Oh and I hope its better than the Ultimate Avengers straight to DVD crap we've gotten so far. The voice acting in those are horrible

I have one major problem with the Avengers movie.
They're making it sound like they'll be establishing the major heroes in their own movies, then merging them together into the Avengers movie.
That just sounds nightmarishly complicated. How can they have a writer for the Avengers movie when the other movies haven't been written yet? He can't do anything for a long, long time because the other movies are likely to contradict the details. For example, one movie could write several scenes where Iron Man depends on an elaborate support team, while the other movie shows him jumping into action immediately.
Then there's the actors, writers, and directors of the individual movies. If they have plans for what happens through several of their movies, will they be OK with whatever happens in the Avengers movies in between? At least a few of those people are going to want to at least have input, which means tons and tons of people are going to be coming up with restrictions on the movie.
Doesn't this also mean more time between the individual heroes' movies? If the directors and writers are trying to have story arcs with their characters, will they be OK with that?
And what if one of the movies for the individual heroes flops? Will they take him out of the Avengers movie? Downplay his role in the movie? What if one of them is a huge success, but *all* the others flop?
This just seems too complex to pull off. Even if everything seems great now, I think something will get production cancelled before the Avengers movie really gets started.

hmm.. I presume that 'Teen Avengers' will be based on 'Young Avengers', and not be like X-Men Evolution where everybody (except Storm & Logan) is in high school..

If Teen Avengers does turn out to be Young Avengers in disguise, I will be deliriously happy... no matter how bad it might turn out to be, an animated YA movie would make my day!!

FF did stink as far as I'm concerned but it was a juggernaut.
So NYAHHHH!!!!

ummm...so I was comparing good and bad, you know like ff was kinda mediocre and X2 was actually really good? kinda like that, So I think we agree? But thanks for the dramatic over reactive response, I'll always remember it fondly
