That's a pretty nice cover. Of course, I'm much more excited about what's underneath.

As a Wildstorm-junkie... I am SURE that I'm picking this up... I hope that Grant draws strongly on what Casey did in Version 3.0 (2nd best work of graphic fiction ever) for this book... I think he could really take what was going on in that book and make it shine in that Grant Morrison kinda way

Man...I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to this series! I just hope it returns the Wildcats to the team they were when the original series first launched. Keep Majestic and Savant in the line up, along with each member of the original cast and the series will be a HIT...again! With occassional team ups with new character Nemesis...Hell Yeah, the series will be HOT!
And with Jim Lee's art too?
Damn...can't wait!

other than Robinson and Moore on Wildcats Vol. 1, that whole series sucked giant hairy balls... it wasn't until Casey took over on Vol. 2 that the book started getting GOOD

When did Morrison redefine Superman? Am I missing something obvious, or is that some sort of typo?
EDIT: Nevermind. How could I forget A-S Supes?!?

Nice cover. Not sure if I'm interested in investing my time in another universe though. Maybe I'll check out the first issue.

All-Star Superman (I had to stop and think about that one for a minute too.)

Wildcats and Cyberforce were the first Image titles I ever bought, and although a lot has changed over the years (such as different publishers now), I'm glad that they're both back in action. I'm really glad that Wildcats return more to its roots, I didn't really care for Wildcats 3.0 that much at all...

The cover
Well speaking of the team, lets look who is on the cover. Grifter obviously, Zealot as the girant floating head, a woman who I'm fairly sure is Voodoo and a whole army of Spartans.

Long live Wildstorm! I've always loved their comics and characters. It will be interesting to see how the story is handled, though I'm sure Grant Morrison will turn this into a masterpiece. Will it go the route of The Authority? That series was over the top, just the way I like it. Either way, I'm in.

I think saying Morrison "redefined" Superman is a little iffy. ALL STAR SUPERMAN is hardly a redefinition of the character. It's the same stuff you've read for the past 60 years. Morrison just gets to pick and choose which bits he wants to use. And when he's done with the title, it will stand on its own and not bleed over to anywhere else
That said, I hope his WILDCATS works as well as Alan Moore's. I know it won't be following on from the great work Joe Casey did on the title, but that's OK. I'd rather have that work stand on its own and rest in peace, than see someone try to rework it so hard that they have to destroy it first.

I'm approaching this with great trepidation and a little annoyance. I hear that this will be a mild ret-con of 3.0 and that really bugs me. 3.0 was one of the most socially relevant, not to mention well put together comic books to come out in a long time. It was Casey at his best. Vol. 1 sucked pretty hard except for the Moore stuff. Go back and read it, you'll agree with me. Anyone remember the Huntsman, created by Lee and Claremont. What a terrible character - though that was the story arc that introduced Majestic and Savant. Vol. 2 blew pretty hard as well, until Casey and Phillips took over. I'm glad Morrison is doing this book and hopefully Jim Lee will have no say in the plot and will simply draw nice pictures, because face it, Jim Lee can neither write nor plot.
