I was hoping to see an Arkham sequal, but I certainly won't complain about more She-Hulk and GLA sounds great.
I'm very happy for Dan!

I know for a fact that Dan Slott is very proud of his work on Ren and Stimpy. Now, if Marvel had mentioned his work on the Doc Samson mini-series, THAT would get him upset!

All very good news, indeed. I skipped the Spidey/Torch book but I'm now thinking of going and getting the first couple issues because of the classic look to it. Clueless to which top-tier character he'll be taking into a monthly. I'm assuming it'd be a character with some possible comedic roots unless Slott can nail an all-out serious book. I guess all I can do is cross my fingers that it's Moon Knight! That'd be amazing!

Well, foolish is as FOOLISH DOES.
Geez, Alfonso, SLIPPING on your own bile lately?
Anyways, congrats to Dan Slott, who honestly DESERVES the attention he's getting from Marvel. Will be looking forward to the return of the GLA, and eventually, more of the best run of stories She-Hulk has ever had.

Hello.
To arthur: No. The answer is a resounding "no". Sorry...
To Thanosrules: Please don't be to DC what someone else is to Marvel, we don't need that silliness on every thread doubled. DC is not selling as well as Marvel overall, true. However, DC HAS put out some titles that have competed quite well with Marvel over the last 2 years (Superman/Batman, Batman:Hush, Superman:Man of Tomorrow, Identity Crisis, and GL:Rebirth) in regards to sales, and DC ALWAYS has books that, in terms of quality, DO compete with Marvel regularly. Also, the All-Star line will definitely bag DC some spots in the top 5 for the next little while, as will the Ross JLA series. I imagine the Johns/Pacheco GL series will be big for the first year, as well, and Crisis II will definitely bring in some money. The next year looks to be a great one for Marvel and DC, but DC seems to have the edge. Where, though, did you get the information stating that Marvel would be getting Miracle Man in December 2005? As far as I know, that is NOT a confirmed date, just some speculation. Can you provide a link to its confirmation, please?
Look, I am a Marvel "Zombie", and love the company. However, trashing one company because you love a different one is childish, immature, and useless. If you enjoy Marvel that much, great! Celebrate Marvel's successes, and be happy. However, stop trying to put down DC for no good reason. Yes, Marvel is the number one Comic Publisher in North America in terms of overall sales. However, that does not diminish the fact that DC is ALSO a great Comic Publisher. Try to relax, and remember that comics are SUPPOSED to be about emjoying a literary medium, not trash talking and boorish behaviour.

Only beef I got is with people trashing marvel left and right and you know how it is,anything marvel does is wrong, bendis is an idiot or any plot they have is garbage, now they are getting more and more writing and artistic talent signed long term and we have the house of M coming out this summer, bet you anything the news alone quesada will drum up for house of m will beat out anything dc throws out. Also as far as miracle man goes just google it with the words "miracle man and neil gaiman" you will read the reports on quesada giving money from the 1602 book commision straight to the legal defense fund for gaiman's case and the statue by bowen already came out to basically prove that todd mcfarlane has no proof that he own's the rights. Plus Gaiman said he will rename the charactor marvelman and make trade and hardcover books for marvel when it goes through, not even a question of if

New Warriors!
I'd like to see Dan tackle'em - IF Zeb Wells run doesn't pan out. Even though the cameo in She-Hulk was brief, I hadn't seen them nailed down so well since Fabe was on the book.

And congrats to Alfonso - you have now officially filled the gap left by onemoment as head troll on these boards. It seems nature does indeed abhor a vacuum.

Congratulations, Mr Slott.
Hope the other book is Amazing Spidey, I miss laughing at that book in a good way.
If its the Black Cat, I hope you are lucky enough to be teamed with Terry Dobson.
Its great to see a "up and coming"(yes, I know you have been in the game for like a decade) get some love.

THANKS! (and a big WOOOHOOO!)
Hey there!
Just wanted to thank everyone for all the well-wishes. Can't tell you all how stoked I am to have the promise of a regular paycheck for a few years (and health insurance-- Dear God, yes!-- can't forget the health insurance!) and all for doing something I love. I promise to do my best to live up to both your and Marvel's expectations.
So...
What's coming up?
Well, there's 3 more done-in-one misadventures for the wall-crawler and his pal, the walking matchstick, in the unapologetically, unabashedly, & unashamedly retro-fun-book: SPIDER-MAN/HUMAN TORCH.
S/T #3
Next up: from the era that brought you the Man-Wolf, the Kangaroo, and the Grizzly... it's a missing tale of Spidey and the Torch's kookiest collaboration: THE SPIDER-MOBILE!
S/T #4
And then a jump to the DeFalco/Frenz era of ASM and the Byrne era of FF as JOHNNY makes a move for PETE'S gal, everybody's favorite burglin' bad girl, THE BLACK CAT. (With special appearances by SHE-HULK and THE BLACK PANTHER!)
S/T #5
Finally... a story that'll change SPIDEY and the TORCH forever. (And you thought this mini wasn't going anywhere. Fer shame. Don't let the done-in-ones fool you, we're actually building to something.)
Then, in APRIL, along with the release of SHE-HULK'S 2nd TPB: SUPERHUMAN LAW (collecting Shulkie's tales from #7 through #12), fellow SHE-HULK collaborator, Paul Pelletier, and I team up for THE GLA four issue mini. And... well... it's bizarre. If you're expecting something light n' fluffy-- this ain't it. It's icky, wrong-headed, and should be kept out of the hands of children. Really.
That'll run all the way through till JULY, and then in AUGUST I finally get to work on one of my favorite characters in an all-new monthly book! I can't wait! In the past I've gotten to do quirky books (like SHE-HULK), dark books (like ARKHAM ASYLUM: LIVING HELL), f'ed up books (like GLA)... but THIS? This is mainstream ALL-THE-WAY! Big name super hero, big-time action, comics comin' at you in the Mighty Marvel Manner!
This one's gonna be for everybody who wants their fix of everything the Marvel U. has to offer! Fun adventures! Larger than life! ARRGHHH! I can't wait! Let's start NOW!
And, last but not least, in OCTOBER...
THE RETURN OF SHE-HULK! (Yay!) That gives everybody over half a year to get their hands on our first 2 TPBS and get all caught up. Back me up here, guys... It's FUN, right? Well worth the $14.99 a pop? Why in the first trade alone you get 5 complete stories. Count 'em: F-I-V-E! Don't make me pull out the links to the over 20 sites and Blogs that put this book in their Best of 2004 lists. Or mention the current Aint It Cool News feature that named it, RUNAWAYS, and SUPREME POWER as MARVEL'S 3 BEST ONGOING TITLES. Or how SHE-HULK'S first trade, SINGLE GREEN FEMALE, is a NEW YORK TIMES recommendation! C'mon!
Ahem...
Well, OCTOBER is when we relaunch Shulkie. And we could really use your "vote" when that first new issue comes out. Marvel's hoping that with a big push that we can get an equally big boost to our sales numbers. And I'm hoping it pays off. 'Cause my promise to YOU is that I'm in for the long haul!
Barring cancelation, my death, or Marvel firing my patoot... I'm NOT leaving! You keep supporting this baby, and I'll stay on it as it goes beyond freakin' CEREBUS numbers! Actually, screw death-- figure out a way to hook my brain up to word processor-- and I'll telepathically write the damn thing with my head stuck inside a Ted Williams' jar. I LOVE THIS BOOk and I ain't goin' nowhere-- as long as enough of you show Marvel that special green-hued-love that comes from deep inside your wallet.
So, there you go.
ttyl
(and thanks again!)
Dan

Yes, but then again, you didn't write Ren & Stimpy. Perhaps because you don't like them? Maybe Dan Slott does? Are you talking down on Slott?
Never heard a may date, infact we all know that second seasons takes awhile before they come around. And She-Hulk stated in print that they would return in 8 months.
Do us all a favor, and start to friggin' think before you post. Okey?
And Dan Slott, how can you not love that guy?

well Ill admit that I buy from both but always have favored DC. God DAN DIDIO you guys blew it big this time. Dan Slott should have been put on one of the regular Batman titles immediatley following Arkham asylum. I havent enjoyed a bat story that much since the no mans land event. After O'neil, moench, grant, dixion left the bat books have been on a downward spirial not as bad yet as what happened after carlin and his crew left the supe books but bad none the less. Only know with winick is the main bat book getting some cohesiveness. Gaybrich has finally made batgirl worth reading again. Grayson's nightwing has been the only book that didnt suffer after denny left it remained true to what dixon had started regardless of what you haters of her say robin is back on tarck wioth willingham. Yet what is going on in a whole in the bat universe ...Dan Slott should have been apart of that dc blew it big.
