The second phase of the war that began in "Messiah Complex" continues! There’s nothing better than catching up with an old war buddy, especially after the years have really started to pile up. Because his old war buddy has shown up with news that everyone he knows or cares about is dead. The battles are over, and they’re the only ones left on the losing side. If that weren’t enough, Bishop, their former ally, is just one bullet away from achieving his objective: killing the baby, and erasing the last shred of hope for mutantkind. All of the battles Cable has won mean nothing. Because suddenly, all of these years later, he’s in real danger of losing the war.

Looks like Cable is getting slightly more interesting. Good.
I really want to like Young X-Men. But it's so....off! Everything about it is off!
Nova = amazing. Really, i don't even have to say it anymore. That's a good book.
Avengers/Invaders intrigued me with the first issue. I'll probably stick with it.

So I presume Bridge's Contessa is the Skrull one. And that the story takes place prior to Fury ventilating her head.

Invincible Iron Man #2 cover: Let's boogie!
The issue looks good (and I like Tony's practical method of dealing with MODOG; superheroes don't just throw stuff into space nearly enough.
Avengers/Invaders #2: Great writing for Iron Man and Ms. Marvel; I think the Invaders are being written a little too shoot-from-the-hip, though. Art looks great.
Young X-Men #3: Looks okay; some fun power interactions there.

No, they'd just put another Skrull agent in place as the Contessa if the old one got killed.

That Avengers/Invaders writing is a little over the top.
Why didn't the Avengers approach the Invaders in a less threatening manner? You know identify that you work for the American government. That you mean them no harm. Instead its stand down and comply with me stranger!
And why Mz Marvel telling Ares to shut up for stating the obvious?
The conflict seems a bit forced.

How is it that one of the best books on the market right now is Nova? C'mon, if someone had said that to me three years ago I wouldn't have believed it.

I like how Tony, Carol, and the MA are rational and logical in their approach with the Invaders. Take them back before their interraction with 2008 screw up the timeline. Don't tell them anything about the future. Makes perfect sense. It's the only thing to do.
Anyone else bet the NA are just going to try to get the Invaders on their side and use them to keep protesting registration, and gripe their heads off about what's happened? The timeline's stability be damned!

I'm glad they keep publishing these Wolverine one-shots. Even though they have not all been to my liking, at least there is an alternative to the screwed up presentation of the character that can be found most everywhere else.
These specials "get it". He is a man of mystery, you don't need to know his background, He's a badass, but he's honorable. He's an outsider, but he almost always ends up attached to some group, usually a group of idealists so he can be the grumpy voice of dissent while he's helping them achieve their goals.
This looks like a fun story and judging by the art displayed in the Rick Remender article also on the front page, I'll be digging both stories.

Y'know, I really want Cable to be an excellent series, and I really want to like it... and last issue was an improvement over the first two clunkers, but this just looks ridiculous.
Out of all the brilliantly elaborate visions of the X-Men future that we've seen, THIS is all that Swierczynski and Olivetti can come up with, in a book that's set predominently in the future? A future ruled by the dreaded... Turnpike Authority? And the only X-Man left is Cannonball? And he looks like that!?!?
Cannonball's outfit is probably the worst new superhero costume I've seen in about ten years. The fact that he's still wearing his goggles in the house makes it all the more ridiculous, especially as I don't imagine they'll do him much good when that inexplicable mane of hair gets in his eyes. (there's a very good reason that long-haired people involved in extreme physical activity tend to tie it back, but I guess Sam hasn't discovered in his tender 50-or-so years.
And of course all that would be forgiveable if we had a well-written scene here between Sam and Nathan but it comes off as cold and dead.
Emporer Alonso, these are your new clothes. This series is tanking fast.

Nova is still my favorite book on the stands. Every issue gets better and better. Cable looks like it'll be picking up, which is good. And I am actually buying Invincible Iron Man and enjoying it. Matt Fraction does some good work, doesn't he? Keep it up, Marvel!

Olivetti's designs are definitely... um... unique. I still can't get past Bishop's comically enormous robotic arm. The aesthetic of the book isn't my cup of tea, which is sad because I generally like Olivetti's art.
