When Marvel editor and writer C.B. Cebulski headed off for his great "ChesterQuest" search for new artists, he thought trying to find 12 people who were qualified enough to work at the publishing company was aiming high.
But as we reported from New York Comic Con, Marvel has ended up with over 20 new artists as the result of Cebulski's international ChesterQuest, many of whom are already working on titles for the company. The list is truly worldwide, with more than 10 countries represented.
The artists who are going to be working on Marvel titles immediately (some of which have already be published) include:
- Marco Turini of Italy,
Squadron Supreme.
- Scott Wegener of the U.S.A.,
Punisher War Journal.
- David Lafuente of Spain,
X-Men Divided We Stand and
Hellcat.
- Matteo Lolli of Italy,
Marvel Adventures Iron Man.
- Antonio Fuso of Italy,
X-Force Special.
- Andre Coehlo from Brazil,
Ms. Marvel.
- Daniel Maia of Portugal,
Ms. Marvel Special.
- Jon Landry of the U.S.A.,
Marvel Adventures.
- Jacopo Camagni of Italy,
Marvel Adventures.
- Vincenzo Cucca of Italy on
She-Hulk.
- Marco Castiello of Italy,
Secret Invasion Front Line.
A new artist anthology will be called
House of Ideas and will be published later this year. The anthology will include:
- Thomas Labourot - France
- Matteo Scalera - Italy
- Shaun “artchild” Turnbull - Canada
- Serena Ficca - Italy
- Joe Suitor - USA
- Damon Hendricks - USA
- Christian Nauck - Germany

We talked to Cebulski for a follow-up to the New York announcement to find out more about the success of ChesterQuest and whether or not Marvel will be conducting more searches for new talent.
