DARK TOWER: THE LONG ROAD HOME #4

Press Release
It’s been an arduous journey for Roland Deschain and his ka-tet—but now they’ll come face to face with the embodiment of evil! Enter Dark Tower: The Long Road Home #4, as the chart-topping team of writers Robin Furth & Peter David, artists Jae Lee & Richard Isanove continue the critically-acclaimed sequel to last year’s national best-seller, based on Stephen King’s seminal Dark Tower novels! Roland’s spirit confronts the Crimson King himself while Alain & Cuthbert fend off a pack of deadly wolves as they struggle to protect an unconscious Roland!

Marvel is also pleased to announce that due to an overwhelming demand, causing a sell-out at Diamond, Dark Tower: The Long Road Home #2 is going back to print! Dark Tower: The Long Road Home #2 Second Printing Variant features the gorgeous interior art of Jae Lee on a new cover!

As the penultimate issue of the series arrives, can Roland and his friends possibly triumph? Or does more tragedy await? Find out in Dark Tower: The Long Road Home #4! Plus, don’t miss Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born Premiere HC, collecting the first sold-out limited series that was a national best-seller and topped critic’s charts as one of the best comics of 2007!

I had wondered why the first chapter left out Roland's journey in the Pink Grapefruit. No more wondering. This will be great for people who haven't read the books, while those of us who have may be surprised by some of the stops on the way, but we all know where this journey ends.

I'm actually more satisfied with this mini-series than I was with the first one. For those that read the book, the first one just felt like a movie adaption of the novel. It followed Roland's part, but skimmed and skipped the bulk of the rest of the book.

However, this one is so much better. Issue 3's implications about the true nature of Roland's quest (as revealed at the end of the The Dark Tower) tied it all the more to the books. Getting a better glimpse at what Roland witnessed in the Pink Grapefruit is all the better as well.

I have to agree with you that I am actually much more satisfied with this story than the adaptation of the last series. It's been a great story with Lee and Isanove's art looking even better the second time around. I'm hoping for a 3rd volume with another original story
