We continue with our interviews from the floor of last month's New York Comic Con with John Siuntres' visit with industry vet and fan-favorite creator Walter "Uncle Walt" Simonson.

Simonson chats about his current work on DC/Wildstorm's World of Warcraft, including how his 15 year-old grandson helps granddad with the series, as well as the work of Simonson's better half - writer Louise "Weezie" Simonson - on the upcoming Gotham Knights animated DVD.

The interviewer didn't even know that Walt was writing the World of Warcraft comic? What the hell?

I messed up. Spur of the moment mistake.

I don't read the WOW book, and forgot that Walter was writing in this case, as opposed to editing which he's also done for both DC and Marvel (when he's not doing art).

Despite my initial and only mistake in the piece, Walter was gracious enough to engage in an inforamtive, friendly conversation, so relax.

I didn't know John Siuntres looked like a Samoan(no disrespect). That's quite a shock I thought he looked like a thin hippie with glasses for some reason.

Anyway good interview. Walt is the coolest dude ever. And he should do something big for Marvel. Like Hulk or Spidey.

Great interview, don't worry about the 'editor/writer' guff, you're doing the interview on a crowded floor at the convention, all kinds of stuff happening around you, I've been there myself.

I've read his work for years, but I've never actually seen Walter Simonson or heard him talk... What a great guy! Fun, engaging, self deprecating in a believable way (all the things Stan Lee was before, well... his ego imploded and/or senility set in). But how can he already have a 15 year old grandson?

If the Power Pack kids were based on their own children back in the 1980s (who weren't even teens back then)... Hmmm... Am I not getting something here?
