"Another fan said "Skrulls!" to which DiDio replied "Come on, we're more original than that."
LOL. This is the THIRD Crisis now?

I admit to not knowing exactly what is going on with Batman, but if they ____ing have Jason Todd as Batman..they can seriously go ____ themselves.

A British fan - or one with a convincing accent, at least - asked why there weren't more British heroes since DC has several British creators. "There hasn't been a British hero since World War II," joked Giffen. DiDio responded seriously by saying that they're always looking to expand the DC Universe and new British super heroes could be a part of that.
From a Brit.
BEST. QUESTION. EVER.
Marvel has a decent stable of British Superheroes.
DC has a decent stable of British writers. Why don't they have more non-US heroes?!?

"and one-shots like Final Crisis: Requiem for a...character, with DiDio declining to give more details on who the requiem is exactly for."
Alas poor, Martian Manhunter. We knew him well.

"Are we going to see Batman and Batgirl have 'the talk'?"
Jones: "Ew."
The fan: "No, not that talk," apparently referring to Batman revealing his identity to the Cassandra Cain Batgirl. DiDio said there are no plans for that at the moment
Funny, I could have sworn batgirl knew Bats was Bruce. She's been in the Batcave, so she at least must be able to put two and two together.

Did Skeets actually kill Waverider in 52? Johns: "Skeets kinda killed Waverider, but I'm sure Dan Jurgens is going to bring him back."
Me thinks Jurgens is the new Booster Gold writer. Me hopes anyway.

DiDio talked about the structuring of Final Crisis - the main series, the Legion of 3 Worlds series, Final Crisis: Revelations, and one-shots like Final Crisis: Requiem for a...character, with DiDio declining to give more details on who the requiem is exactly for.
He also talked about one-shots like Final Crisis: Submit ("Submit" being one of the words shown on the board earlier in the panel). Johns also mentioned Final Crisis: Rogues Revenge by him and Scott Kolins, and Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns.
|
Glad to see DC's not slapping "FINAL CRISIS" on tons of books in an attempt to revive their sales. OH WAIT. Desperate much?

A tid bit missed by the Newsarama reporter
Regarding Justice Society's Welcome To Earth-2 storyline, Geoff Johns said the Earth-2 heroes band together under the name Justice Society Infinity.

She did. I think the transcriber is mistaken in his assumption. The talk most likely refers to reconciling after Batman writing her off.

Any special promotion planned for the Spanish issue of Blue Beetle? Giffen: "It doesn't matter, no one's going to understand it, anyway."
Why the hell should there be a special promotion for it? If anything it's annoying because here I thought a comic distributed in the US would be in English. Shame on me for thinking that.
The best line of the night was the Tomasi "Thanks for not making Nightwing suck." Possibly the most honest statement from New York all weekend.
And what's the deal with the Red Lanterns? Is it based on Hate, rage, or anger?

i declare the following to be the biggest news out of this story (which had, mostly, NON ANSWERS!!!)
Any more Kingdom Come characters in Justice Society? Johns said the next story arc will have Black Adam and Isis.
That will kick so much ass!!!

The way I see it, at least, is that anger isn't a bad thing. Anger motivates and can be used to accomplish things. Just because you're angry doesn't mean you hate anything.
Rage is a mixed bag, something that only happens for a brief instant but is uncontrollable.
Hate is the most extreme thing, a willingness to put something on the other side of the line that you want nothing to do with and would rather be wiped off the face of the earth.
Green is based on willpower. Blue is based on hope. Yellow is fear, Violet is being a hippy, and Orange is greed. Red is the only color that doesn't seem to have a set answer for that emotion.
That's just my musings on the subject. I rather like the red lanterns if they're just angry. But if it's based on hate, not really.
