Looks like there's going to be a new Inhumans mini - maybe with Blackbolt being dead.

Hnnn...SI: Thor?
The slate keeps growing...
I think that was the camel's back. I think I just broke free of trying to be completist for this event.

You know, Nick Fury darn well better make it out of Secret Invasion alive- he's the only reason I'm reading this furschlugginer miniseries... As for phoenix coming back, I'm more interested in some of the OTHER people that popped out of that ship, and how this might screw up their continuity, Thor's in particular.

How many Secret Invasion mini-series are they putting out? My god! At current count we have:
-Frontline
-X-Men
-Fantastic Four
-Inhumans
-Thor
-Young Avengers/Runaways
-Amazing Spider-Man
And I'm fairly sure I'm missing some. I get that they're all "optional" buys, that you don't need them to fully enjoy the story. But geez, Marvel, way to milk the fans for every dime. (Except this one. I won't buy any of the spinoffs, with the possible exception of YA/Runaways.)

man, this thing is getting big.
can anyone tell who's art that is on the Spider-Man mini?
Edit: oh, and Pellatier is absolutely Killing it on Nova. I'm not really into the cosmic stuff, but i might have to get that trade when it comes out...

I wonder what this means in regards to Black Bolt's appearences in Son of M and Silent War...if that was the imposter or if it was the real Black Bolt.
If it was the fake, then it would take some of the heart out of the story. IMO, it makes more sense if Black Bolt was taken shortly after WWH, as this would leave everything that happened up to that point still valid. It doesn't make a lot of sense that if he'd been a Skrull then that he'd have been able to maintain his form as Black Bolt after the beating he received from The Hulk in issue one of WWH.

I am so damn tired of the X-Men never taking part in anything.

The Skrulls can maintain their forms up until death.

It'a actually the best way to do it, it means they aren't interrupting the actual series for tie-ins (exept for those that may require event-sales boost) and fans therefore don't have to pick them up to have a "completer run" or whatever. And as you said you don't need them to enjoy thje full story.

i'm trying to mostly stick just to what i get anyway, but damn if they aren't making it hard by putting people like Jason Aaron on Black Panther, RAS and Kitson on FF, Fraction on Thor etc.
so, my rule is, if it's a creative team that'd get me to give the book a shot anyways, i'll check it out.

Agreed. This lets the current teams tell their individual storylines without interrupting them for stupid crossover nonsense. Look at X-Men. It was either start the book's new status quo with a Secret Invasion tie in, do it in a seperate mini, or not have any connection at all. Some people want a massive event with lots of tie ins. Some people don't want any tie ins at all. Putting them in seperate minis is a way to keep both groups happy and make a truckload of money while doing it.

and in X-men's case it's nice they're getting one of the 'core book' writers to do the mini ~ will help it fit in more nicely.

I wonder if the reporter purposely ignored the boos about Way being on a Deadpool series.

I'm really surprised Galactus and the Surfer aren't being involved in the Invasion.
They're only the most powerful cosmic entityiesthat haven't be corrupted by the Phalanx, and can destroy an entire Skrull armada at will.
Nevermind it looks like page 20-21 of issue.
How the F*** can I tell with these overlong file names. PUT SOME TEXT DESCRIPTIONS PLEASE!

Kind of disappointed no one asked whether they'd assure fans that they wouldn't be wiping out decades of characters' continuity.

I haven't read any of Way's stuff, so I can't comment on that, but I was thinking the same thing based on what I've heard here about his writing. Medina's style is just fun to me.

A fan asked a common convention question - if there's too many "events." Quesada said "fans vote with their dollars," and events seem to be what fans currently really want. He continued that he expects that will change at some point, but hasn't yet. Joe was alot nicer about this than I expected he wolud be.The big two stop doing cross-overs and we see endless threads across various comic forums whining about how "nothing happend" when they done self contianed stories.

I really don't think The Big G would care if Earth was overtaken by Skrulls.

I used to think that way, but I'm beginning to change my mind. If I, for example, collect Thor, I think I'd like it to be in the actual Thor title instead of a mini. This would definately save me money. All it would take is a little pre-planning for the titles participating. Joe could have said "Hey, SI begins April, so wrap up your current storylines now." Save the minis for characters who don't have their own titles like the Inhumans.
