I expected better... I can't understand how anyone could be expected to get excited about Secret Invasion by watching that...

Uh...
I think the title says it all. What the hell was that? Oi oi oi Marvel are not on the ball when it comes to the promos for SI.
Anyway, neither FC nor SI will hold a candle to the REAL event in 2009: THE BLACKEST NIGHT!

Super-psyched for the event.
Super-meh'ed or super-WTH'ed by the trailer.

Er, no.
Just stick to making comics, Marvel. And try to make them better while you're at it. If the lead up to Secret Invasion is any indication, the event itself will be just as good as this trailer.

I'm sorry, wasn't the Cloverfield guy writing for Dark Horse?
Silver lining: Did not take 6 parts to show complete video

Dear Lord, I might have to sue Marvel for that one.
I think that video permanently damaged my eyes...Cloverfield at least had decent video quality...*barf*
Oh! And I think I became 30% dumber from watching it.

I second that. I'm very excited for the event, but that was bad.

Worst trailer ever!
Seriously, I'm really excited about SI and that did absolutely nothing for me and cant imagine it making anyone actually want to read it.
The back cover of SI saga was very cool though.

That was lame...
Kinda like all these events with both publishers every year for the past several years.

Final Crisis and Secret Invasion are in 2008, the Blackest Night in 2009, I don't understand this comment. Peace.

Back to the drawing board
That SUCKED. Someone thought they were being clever, when all they really were doing was being DULL and irritating by cribbing the hand held schitck for "Cloverfield".
Try again Marvel, you guys are capable of better...aren't you??

Thank you for travelling back in time and sharing your opinion with the rest of us.
Also, the trailer is not "cribbing" Cloverfield. It's supposed to be a home video the guy is shooting. Should it be a steadicam shot following him around?

They show us pictures we've seen for the last two weeks, followed by even more bad acting.

It wasn't THAT bad .... while yes - it was bad it wasn't the worse thing ever - at least they are trying to stem out from all promo videos being just flashes of old comics.
So while this isn't going to win any awards (outside of "Best Secret Invasion promo produced by Marvel that day award") it wasn't horrible.
It brought up a couple of interesting spoilers.
1 god is a skrull (so either Ares/Herc/or Thor)
They seem to be insinuating that all the promo pics that are out are the actual infiltrators (which would be a good twist for a moment and then a horrible spoiler after that)
The question is what are the last 2 characters are they talking about ? Maybe outside of the superhero world.... ie President of US - which could lean into the President Stark story that was tossed around for a while.
Of course it may also be nothing but a promo - figuring the narrator is as unaware as the reader and only guessing at possible skrulls.
Well anyway - I am going to pick up both this an FC - I personally like the once a year mega events

Jeez that is embarrassing. The voice over is just godawful. Wow. Who don't I trust - Marketing at Marvel.

I'm generally psyched after watching the Marvel trailers. Take a look at the first Dark Tower trailer. It's insanely cool.
This one... the first minute & a half has nothing important.

That was horrible. Worse voice acting than a bargain-bin videogame.
