WITCHBLADE #116

Top Cow has provided Newsarama with a first look at March's Witchblade #116, the first issue in the new Ron Marz/Stjepan Sejic run.

The solicitation for the issue reads:

Witchblade #116
(W) Ron Marz (A) Stjepan Sejic (Cov) Stjepan Sejic, Greg Horn

The team that brought you the epic FIRST BORN limited series begins their historic run on WITCHBLADE! Longtime writer Ron Marz (SAMURAI: HEAVEN & EARTH, PANTHEON CITY) is joined by painter Stjepan Sejic (THE DARKNESS: LEVELS), and both creators have committed to the title until at least issue #150! This issue provides a perfect jumping-on point for new readers, as Sara Pezzini and Dani Baptiste begin a new chapter as joint bearers of the Witchblade.

The issue is scheduled to be in stores on March 12th.

Looking pretty good there;

Even if it does "Jump around" a bit. Probably a great jumping on point.

Ron Marz is awesome! I had a chance to get to know him a little bit years back via Broken Frontier. He is a stand-up guy! How many writers stay on books past 10 issues anymore, much less 40! I admit I buy anything Ron is working on, but this looks amazing! Beautiful art and sounds like a really great story. I can't wait!

I didn't realize that Witchblade had cracked 100 issues, let alone gunning for 150.

That is quite an accomplishment in this market.

Image should be proud that they have a few titles numbering in the 100s.

Not many publishers can say that in this day and age.

He's a great cover artist. But his sequential storytelling is really bad.

Not Top Cow would care about that.

You know, you're absolutely right. Ron flat out cannot draw. That's why we let Stjepan do the heavy lifting.
