Great story, but that art...oh god, that art...

I literally couldn't tell that was Peter Parker. I had to figure it out by process of elimination. Yeah, obviously the costume on later pages helped, but c'mon, this stuff is illegible.

I'm more a story man than art, so I'll suffer through it, but c'mon..

This is a good preview. I love Logan's comment about being everywhere at once. Is there a real Logan and a Skrull Logan? :P

I am intrigued. I loved Logan's soliloquy. It is bordering on meta-fiction. I would love to see this turn into a Morrison-esque scenario where everyone / someone / Wolverine realizes they are being manipulated... by Brian Michael Bendis!

Leinil Yu gets better with every panel he draws.

I am so adding this to my pull list.

Good art, snappy dialogue, but some rather questionable logic being employed in analyzing the situation.

And what the hell is happening on the cover? is the plane crashing? What?

Looks good (and Yu seems much better on the non-ninja filled pieces).

So it looks like the rumors of Spider-Woman heading for the Mighty team could be true...but not for reasons we thought.

Marvel's Chance

Ok, Ok, I get it. This actually give me hope for marvel. I thought for a second that they thought it was a comic. Though Marvel has often reflected the times.

Then.......that means................

George Bush is a Skrull and Hilary Clinton

and dare I say it? Paris Hilton

Seriously, I for one love huge crossovers (then again I am filthy rich and can afford all the books) so I look forward to this going cosmic!!!

who did you think that character on the first page, with the high black collar was, exactly? He didn't look like any of the other males on the team, and the hints of his costume didn't look like anyone else's...so who was he supposed to be?

It sure looks like Peter Parker to me.

An interesting preview - I like the "Who's a Skrull, who isn't?" dynamic, although I can't help but wonder how long that can be spun out - it just dosen't seem sustainable.

It'll be great to see how Tony reacts when a dead Skrull lands in front of him - but as for whether he himself is, or is not a Skrull, I say "Bah!" I remain convinced he's the Iron Maniac - remember him?

SKRULLS!!!!!!!!

Like the Skrull storyline but just don't like Yu's art on this title, it just doesn't work for me. Didn't think I'd like MIGHTY AVENGERS as much as I do but it's just good 'ol fashion butt kicking superhero fun.

Your right, if this goes beyond the fall or winter I think a lot of readers will be frustrated. Plus it seems marvel has a lot of ball in the air.

House of M (not resolved)
Civil War (not resolved)
World War Hulk (not resolved)

I know it's part of a bigger plan, but it seems as though they are copying another company that has the ability to toss I don't an Infinite number of Crisis in the air.

Oh this is fantastic. I can't wait to see how much further the finger pointing goes. This might divided fans more than Civil War did. I love it!! Keep it up Marvel!!

As far as the art goes it is another book going to scanning pencils and skipping the inking step. The panel compositions, panel layout, rich detail, and all are fine and as far as pencils go, very solid.

However Superhero books, which traditionally have sharp blacks and varying line quality, suffer by this skip-Ink process.

Looks good, and I still have faith in Bendis, so Iwill support it... but maybe, I'm just a Skrull.

Just out of curiosity. . .are we no longer allowed to critcize or critique art around here anymore? Because between you responding to posts here and over in the X-Men #200 Spoiler Sport thread, I'm getting the general idea that we're not . . .

How about:

World War Hullk (Currently HAPPENING)

. . .I mean, it's kinda difficult for something that's barely started to be resolved. And I'd say that both House of M and Civil War have been resolved. It's like life. Unlike 24, when a day ends, it doesn't wrap up all nice and tidy in preparation for the next.
