Komikwerks LLC, a leader in online comics publishing, announced today that Brazilian creators' Hector Lima and Irapuan Luiz' action-packed comic THE MAJOR has joined the online library of weekly comics at komikwerks.com (AOL Keyword: Komikwerks). THE MAJOR is the story of a soldier fresh from the Iraqi battlefield; an unstable, newly assigned special agent who jumps headfirst into a secret mission inside the dangerous Brazilian slums. His mission: to rescue an American bank manager from drug lord Mad Matias' private army.

Co-creator/writer Hector Lima describes the comic as "Jack Bauer on caipirinha (a famous Brazilian drink) in a uniform, unleashed in the middle of a shadowy political conspiracy full of twists and turns. Patrick and Shannon at Komikwerks have welcomed us with arms open wide."
