ENNIS, McCREA BACK ON HITMAN

Been far, far too long since Tommy Monaghan's been seen around the DC Universe.

That's due to change later this year. DC's holding details close to the vest right now, but as was announced this weekend in Bristol, yes, Garth Ennis and John McCrea will re-team for a Hitman story. While Ennis himself has said that he and McCrea were working on a "lost" story where Monaghan meets the JLA for an arc of JLA: Classified, plans change. DC has confirmed that Ennis and McCrea's project will indeed be a three issue miniseries, Hitman/JLA, and will debut sometime after August.

Reportedly, if the miniseries does well, it may be enough to get DC to bring the Hitman trades back into print, and possibly complete the collection.

A GAZILLION kinds of awesome! Hitman is the only comic I own a complete run of, and probably the first (good) title I started buying monthly. Been waiting for this forever.

This is pretty cool on two ends. 1. That Hitman is back and 2. That DC and Ennis still have a good working relationship.

Oh yeah, I almost get anything that Ennis does, one of his latest, 303 by Avatar was great ! And I have always been waiting for DC to complete the Hitman tpbs so I could start reading them !

Just yesterday, I found all the trades (except volume 1) on the clearance rack at my LCS for a total of about $40. It's good stuff, and this is exciting news!

Hitman is one of the best comics OF ALL TIME and it's a crime that DC doesn't have the whole set of TPBs available. I could sell Preacher numbers on this book if they were all available. I'm really psyched about Hitman/JLA.

This is probably the comics event I'm most looking forward to. More than 52. More than Civil War. More than any other "big" event in the last five years.

When people ask me which comic series I miss the most, I automatically say "Hitman."

Here's hoping that Batman doesn't meet Bueno Excellente....

How about some Section 8 vs the JLA?? That would be great!! The last 10 issues of Hitman were my favorite.

I've never read any "Hitman" by my love for just about everything Garth Ennis does knows no bounds, so count me in. Considering how excited everyone seems about this, count me in double.

My friend, if you love Ennis you really must track down Hitman, as well as his run on The Demon! Seriously, you'll be glad you did.
