any FCBD gem?

so which free comics was a suprise for you?

for me, i was quite surprised with LAST BLOOD from Blatant Comics...I never heard of the title before but when I heard the comichshop dude pimp the comics to the person in front of me I decided to try it....even after i saw the cover and scanned thru the interior art, everything screamed "amateur"....

anyway, i got to read it last night and quite enjoyed it...the title is a zombie book with a interesting origin that involves vampires....although the art is really putting me off at the moment...

if your comic shop still has this (or even at least tried ordering this), i suggest you give this title a shot....

The Dark Horse book, Umbrella Academy, Pantheon City, Zero Killers, all worth checking out.

I started to read Dynamite's book but I had to stop about 2 pages into Battlestar Galactica. The art wasn't that good and it looked like Adama and Tigh were about 30 years younger than they should be. Considering the story takes place a mere 2 years before the Cylon holocaust.

I had never read WHITEOUT, so when I saw it on the table I picked it up. It wasn't to bad. I'm actually kinda interested in getting the Trade now. Anyone know if its worth it?

I enjoyed the Lone Ranger side of the DE book, if you couldn't tell from my sig. I also enjoyed Image's Astounding Wolf-Man. I think the best book I picked up was Fantagraphic's Unseen Peanuts, though. They really did an outstanding job putting that book together.

Hack Slash has me hugely interested. It was way different than everything else in the stock and it really didnt have many negatives i could nitpick at.

I, too, found the Dark Horse offering to be a nice surprise. I didn't have much interest in any of the stories, until I read them. And now I'm looking forward to seeing them on the shelves.

Yeah, I was going to ignore Pantheon City but after reading the FCBD book from Dark Horse, I just might have to check that series out after all once it starts.

I wasn't surprised by "Comics Festival", "Amelia Rules!" and "Owly/Korgi" 'cause I KNEW it would outshine the rest.

Same here. I also was surprised by "Last Blood".
