INCREDIBLE HULK #106 SELLS OUT @ DIAMOND
Press Release
The first shots of World War Hulk have been fired and fans have responded by making Incredible Hulk #106 a smash hit! Marvel is pleased to announce that Incredible Hulk #106, the first part of the epic “Warbound” storyline, has sold out at Diamond. Forces on Earth are preparing for the Hulk’s return and this is where you’ll begin to learn who’s with the Hulk and who wants to get smashed!
“I know that we have a lot of epic to go, but if it all maintains the consistency and readability of these early chapters, we’ll be looking at one of the all-time definitive Hulk stories,” gushed Troy Brownfield of Newsarama.Com
Richard George of IGN.Com called Incredible Hulk #106 a “must-read” book of the week and said the issue contained, “a lot of great moments.”
Blake M Petit of Comixtreme.Com said that this opening salvo of World War Hulk, “should have readers really excited to see the war that’s coming.”
Please note that Incredible Hulk #106 may still be available at the retailer level. With the excitement surrounding World War Hulk and the quick sell-out of Incredible Hulk #106, Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on upcoming World War Hulk tie-ins. At this time there are no plans to go back to press on Incredible Hulk #106. Don’t forget to go back to where it all began, with the acclaimed hardcover collection of Planet Hulk, which laid the seeds for World War Hulk, and World War Hulk Prologue, offering an unprecedented look inside the mind of the monster. As the Hulk returns to Earth, things are only going to get bigger, so don’t miss a single upcoming issue of World War Hulk!

Too bad they couldn't hold onto it until the preceding chapter, in She-Hulk #18, could see print!

That didn't take long. You would think that as big as this event is hyped to be that they would have over printed by quite a bit. Of course now you will get at least a 2nd printing with the obligatory alternate cover that just happens to be art from INSIDE the book.

That kind of pissed me off to Fetsur, why does she-hulk have such bad delays? The issue and this story line looks great.

That was a pretty quick sell out and the event is off to a flier. Well done to everyone involved.

I thought it was a good read. A good lead into introducing the earth-bound supporting cast.
I hope its making the retailers happy, and congratulations to the creative team for putting together a solid issue.

Gary Frank is the man! I'd love to see him on an X-book. Or perhaps Wolverine: Origins.

Uh, yeah, new creative team on Origins now, or like... cancel it. One of the two.

A new writer at least, then a more suited artist. They should let Peter David have a crack at it.

word is Dan Slott's scripts are quite often late. Tom Brevoort (sp?) a couple of months back was complaining about it on a blog or something...

That question has been asked at least 2 times in Joe Friday's (that I know of), and he keeps giving the old "news is coming soon" answer.
I don't like saying negative things on this board (there's waaay too many that fill that role), but the up-in-the-air status of this book makes me really angry. I read this book for years, and then suddenly JMS is writing Thor, the artist that was supposed to take over for Gary Frank is drawing Thunderbolts, and NO ONE is saying if this book is cancelled, on hiatus, or what. At least with Ultimates 2 we know that it's coming out EVENTUALLY...

thanks poc!
the more time passes between issues, I find myself caring less about titles like SS and Ultimates...
