KIRK JONES CONFIRMED AS SPIKE'S "BLADE"

Goodbye Wesley, hello…”Sticky?”

Yeah, Sticky. According to Variety actor and hip-hop singer Kirk “Sticky” (Over There, Flight of the Phoenix) Jones will star in the lead role of Spike TV’s Blade series pilot. The new series will continue the character’s role from the first three movies. Director and writer of Blade 3: Trinity David Goyer will executive produce the pilot, and will co-write the script with Geoff Johns.

Production will begin next week, November 14th in Vancouver, and if the series gets picked up by Spike, it would premiere in June of next year on the network.

Peter O’Fallon is directing the pilot movie, and Jill Wagner, Neil Jackson, Nelson Lee, and Jessica Gower round out the cast.

I can see it, he's a better actor than rapper with Onyx, Despite the negative controversy about Overthere I think he did a good job with the role that was given to him.

Sweet! He REALLY fits the look! And how can that script lose with Goyer and Johns at the helm? I hope it gets picked up.

Goyer destroyed Blade III so I ain´t gonna get my hopes up to high.

But Sticky is a good choice.

Talking

This is one way to get DC exclusive Geoff Johns to write a Marvel character!

Yeah, but Goyer destroyed Blade III by directing it. As long as he's leaving that to someone who knows what they're doing, hopefully things will be sweet. *crosses fingers*

Blade 3 did suck, everything from the product placement with Jessica Biel to the bad acting and weak supporting characters. And Dracula, well he was the weakest character of them all. Hes supposed to be dracula, but instead we got lame clubber guy with fangs.

EVERYTHING in Blade Trinity was painful, but I still have faith in Geoff.

Isn't this Goyer guy also related to Ghost Rider?

I wonder if they'll continue the movie continuity or just start from scratch.

I would have prefered had it been independant of the movies considering for TV shows to work you need strong writing to substain it, and i`ve never been impressed by Goyer.

Sticky Fingaz....ahhhh....don't you just love 90's rap?

Seriously...he was GREAT in The Shield and I look forward to him in the role. Can't be worse then Hasselhoff in Nick Fury...
