I usually never buy annuals but this one got me, nice to see a good creative team on one. I think I just remember the old days when Marvel would put a bunch of hacks on an annual and hoped it would sell.

I can't wait for the Ultimates Annual. And I'm surprised about Mega Morphs. It does look kinda cool.

Mega-Morphs?

Damn you for coming onto a book I'd given up hope on Millar. You may as well just publish your adress so that I can directly send you my paychecks. But seriously, mega-morphs? I can't not help thinking of the ani-morphs and transformers that my childhood were so greatly linked to. The preview actually wasn't that bad, but everytime Spider-Man or Stark said mega-morphs really took me out of it. It's not really badly or lazily written like most comics aimed at a younger audience are, so that's good.

Can't wait for the Ultimates Annual, looks very cool, even without the Hitch art. I used to love Greg Land's art, but his current stuff looks really bland.

Bummer! I quickly saw Annual and Ultimate FF and was hoping for a preview of the Ultimate FF Annual. I'm a big fan of the Inhumans so it might be the first Ultimate stuff I'll actually buy.

Anyway, much as I hate Land's current stuff, can't deny the story is interesting on Ultimate FF. Perhaps, after the 2 part Carey story/Annual Ultimate FF trade, I'll continue collected the trades long as Miller continues. Hmmm, not that I want to start a trend or anything, bad enough I already get one Ultimate title. But, who can resist Ultimates?

Speaking of Ultimates, despite it not being Hitch's artwork I have to hope that the Ultimates Annual is collected with one of the trades. I'd hate to have to track this down many monthes from now. That 2 page spread with Iron Man, I just have to say the colouring is purty!

Yeah the UFF Annual sounds like a cool comic, just because it has the Inhumans in it. I wish there was an Inhumans comic. And the recent one doesn't count; it wasn't the original family.

Though, I don't think it would sell all that much.

I can. Haven't even flipped through that book in the store since, what, #5 of volume 1? To quote Angel, somehow, I just can't bring myself to care... (cue Millar and Hitch--and Bendis and JMS and Quesada--being eaten by Darla and Drusilla )

i'm all over the annual too... and for some reason mega-morphs has caught my attention. when do these hit the stands?

EDIT: Scratch that - i looked through the preview pages of mega-morphs over at Buzzscope (and here) and i'm not feeling the giant robots w/ superhero similarities (i mean a transformer that looks like spider-man?)

I disagree. I think his pencils are still great. It's the inks and colors that's making his art look stupid. They don't do his work justice. I mean his current style is basically the same as the few last issues of Sojourn. Back in Crossgen, the colors and inks on his art enhances its beauty but ever since he came onboard Marvel, it's just isn't the same anymore.

Land's Ultimate FF looks like fumetti, and that ain't a compliment.

Mega-Morphs looks so weird and random. I have to read this one.

That UFF art looks so stale and boring

HA! LOOK I WAS RIGHT! Land uses the same pose to draw all of his women

looks good, I loved Millar & Lands first issue, I think this 12-issue run will be a modern-classic

I'm waiting for The Ultimates 2 Trade (i know ) I hope this annual is included. Dillon's art looks more angular than usual, but still excellent.

Mega-Morphs? Looks like a fun idea, kid's like it.

I really love Land's work. Yeah, yeah; his women all look the same. But at least they're hot! I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, but I just like it. I'm not crazy about the Ultimates art, but no way am I missing this book. Mega-morphs? As a Transfan, I think it looks like a genuinely bad idea. But what do I know?

Anyone know what the UFF annual is about?

I dunno. I thought his art in Sojourn was pretty but kinda...stiff. I thought his stuff in Ult FF was unbelievable.

I thought fumetti meant Italian Comics. Are you saying Italian comics doesn't have a good art?

I think Dillon is a really good artist (even though all of his people look like shifty, chain-smoking bastards), but I don't know if he really works for the huge, detailed background, widescreen excitement of The Ultimates. Looking at these pages doesn't convince me either. We'll see ...

is that Sentry? if so, cool (though cheap)
