Indy: Corporate Ninja #1

Corporate Ninja #1
Published by SIG
Written and Drawn by Matt Mocarski

I know funny books don't sell like they used to anymore, which is unfortunate, but it's still very refreshing to see someone take a chance and do one anyway. I don't believe there was any hype for this book, I just caught it in previews and ordered a copy because it looked awesomely ridiculous.

The art is very nice and clean. The stylized art works pefectly with the humorous writing, and gives it this "fun" feeling.

Quick Overview:
So a corporation that makes fish is going down the tubes thanks to the female market, they try their best to meet the female needs but fail. Their company is about to go bankrupt until he arrives... the Corporate Ninja!

Spoilers:

I thought it was freaking awesome how Mr. Mocarksi didn't hold back and even decapitated a child! Now that sounds really bad, and it probably is, but the way it happens in the book you just gotta laugh your ass off. That was probably the only really shocking moment in the book, and though it may put some people off to it, hopefully the ones with a good enough sense of humor can continue on.

Overall: You MUST have a sense of humor if you're going to read this book, if you don't you may get offended at something that does nothing but provide a laugh out loud story. This is not Inifinte Crisis or anything engaging in that sort of way, which might be why I like it so much. I suggest giving it a try, for a first issue it was great, lets see how it improves with issue #2 coming out early next year. A-
