Zombie Tales Death Valley #2???
Zombie Tales Death Valley #2 from Boom! Studios was suppose to ship in December, but has not, and there have been no updates about this book anywhere. What is the scoop here?

I really hope the IC change wont affect the quality of the book. Those fill-ins really bothered me last ish (even though it was artists I love it F-ed up the flow of the book).

On his blog, Boom! publisher Ross Richie said Zombie Tales: Death Valley #2, "hit a snag when the bindary that the printer sub-contracts its work to moved. This caused a hink in the production and a delay which slipped it back a week."

Ha. I thought that was pretty funny, too. IIRC, Feb 22 was the original release date for Infinite Crisis #5 and there were conflicting reports of its delay to March 1. I wonder what the story is?

After a few slow weeks, I suppose we were bound to be hit by a barrage of Marvel product.

SQUADRON SUPREME #2 4/5/2006 - 4/19/2006

Issue #1 is over a month away and issue #2 gets pushed back already? SUPREME POWER kept experiencing similar difficulty. Marvel really ought to just admit defeat and schedule this book as a bi-monthly. I think it'd just be easier for everyone.

SUPREME POWER HYPERION #4 (OF 5) (MR) 2/15/2006 - 2/22/2006

Then again, if this book actually makes the 2/22 ship date, it'll only be about 3 months late (what was the hold up, here?). The casual observer might think that SQUADRON SUPREME's delay is, simply, a knock-off effect of HYPERION's lateness. But issue #1 of SS hasn't been rescheduled, so that can't be it.

At this point, I've run out of things to say about ULTIMATES. This is pretty much routine, isn't it? On the plus side, Loeb and Madureira are getting plenty of time to stockpile issues of volume 3 (please tell me they're stockpiling issues).

Well I believe I read somewhere and it seemed confirmed that DD: Father was originally a 5 issue and was stretched to a 6 issue AFTER he made that earlier statement.
So, no surprise #6, which wasn't supposed to happen, comes out after Dec.
I may be wrong as I wouldn't be caught dead reading such drek!
Oh and where's that tales of Army of Darkness one shot? I'm sure the last solicitation had it pegged for this week.
I was really curious as to how Kurt Busiek's story would read.

Where all all the DC/IC naysayers now? Shouldn't they get just as much credit for getting the book back on track as they got criticism for the book being off schdule?

No...sorry...but when an Amtrak runs off the tracks, you don't see people showing up to applaud the next one that gets in safely.
And I'm a DC fan, but I think it is a lil much to expect people would come back to praise. There are always more critics than praisers.

So is Ultimates 10 later and later in order to give Joe Mad time to work ahead?
Or are they just keeping track of how long it takes Superman/Batman to finish their current storyline?
And in all honesty, if this has something to do with Mark's illness, then people should just let it be. It's still a great book, and they'll give the argument that Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns were late near the end. Let's just hope Hitch finishes this at some point.

I like how they put it back on schedule though. But we'll see whether it downgraded the quality. I was happy with #4, so I'll probably be fine
DD: Father is a big red truck. It's NYX all over again. I find it funny how Quesada can get away with false promises (read: lies) over and over again.
Jeph Loeb will be perfectly at home at Marvel. Loeb + Mad + Ultimates = disaster

Agreed. It would be nice if publishers and creators worked some comfortable way out of letting the public know the cause of delays. It should be in the exclusive contracts that, unless it is a family matter or illness, the publisher can disclose that you caused a late. If it is a family matter or illness, the publishers leave it up to the creator to decide whether it is shared.
And quietness on the publishers' side wouldn't mean that a creator was having a personal problem, because there are plenty of times where it is all DC's or Marvel's fault (or maybe their printer) where they don't say a word.

Actually, if you go back to the very first initial solicitation for Infinite Crisis, you'll notice that issues 2-5 were originally scheduled to come out one week BEFORE they showed up in stores (i.e., #5 was originally scheduled for Feb 15). So in reality, only issue #1 of IC has arrived on time as initially reported.
