DAN DIDIO: CRISIS COUNSELING SESSION 01 - SPOILER FREE
Note: To discuss Crisis Counseling in a thread with spoilers, click here.
If you saw one of Dan DiDio’s “Crisis Counseling” panels at any of the various conventions over the past year you know what’s coming. Handling questions about the build-up to the miniseries, the original Crisis, as well as Infinite Crisis itself, DiDio hit questions, concerns, and outright accusations with answers, teases, and quite often, a Cheshire Cat grin.
As previously announced, the DC Vice President and Executive Editor has agreed to handle questions about Infinite Crisis monthly, on the Wednesday during the miniseries run, a continuation of his “Crisis Counseling” sessions. While future installments will take selected questions from readers, for the inaugural session, DiDio handled questions from Newsarama.
One last thing before we start – images included in this article are from issue #1 of Infinite Crisis. The first few have already been seen, though the page with Superboy has not been seen previously. Likewise, and here’s the important part – the full sized cover to Infinite Crisis #2 (linked to via the previously-seen thumbnail below) is the full sized, actual version of Infinite Crisis #2, which can now be shown. Again – a major, major, major spoiler warning – the different cover has a spoiler to Infinite Crisis #1, so, if you don’t want to know about it, don’t click the Power Girl cover. Got it?
Onward.
Click here for the counseling session.

LALALA...
I skimmed most of this, since I'm planning to read IC at lunch and don't want even slight spoilers this late in the game.
Fun idea about the seperate threads, tho.

It is SO HARD to not read the other thread.
Did I miss the actual cover for #2, or is it spoilerific?
edit: I figured it out - clicked on the old #2 cover. Yes, it's spoilerific.
but pretty awesome

For once, since there is an option, I'm avoiding spoilers. I think I may actually spend the rest of the day off the DCU board of Talk@ too.
As for all the deaths, I think that Kyle Rayner seems safe, and the only other person I'm really riled up about is J'onn. Other than that, I won't be heartbroken about any other characters...

In the UK we don't get our new comics till Thursday.
I'm going to the store tomorrow at lunch. I need to read this before I see anymore spoilers.

You know.. I think I'm in. I've read the original crisis and am familiar enough with a big enough chunk of the current DCU to not be completely lost. I think DC is getting my $3.99 tonite, and I'll probably pick up the countdown to infinate crisis book as well.

Sigh, don't like the look of that cover, but I suppose the book will be enjoyable, Geoff Johns is never boring, but whether the enjoyment is like watching a car-crash or not remains to be seen, I'm optimistic though.

I don't know if I can wait until Friday when my mailorder copy will get here. I may have to go buy a copy locally. I can justify two copies because of the multiple covers, right?

Well, seeing as how I don't trust any of youse bums to not spoil #1 for me, even on the 'non-spoiler thread', I'll have to read through all this stuff tomorrow. Bastards.
What I will say is that Didio clearly doesn't know how to do these things properly. He was far too explanatory, reveals far too much, and, jeez, even gave straight answers. The nerve of the guy.

Yes, I was optimistic, but that optimism was unfounded, I was... underwhelmed to say the least, for me, the book had no heart, it was just like HoM #2 but with marginally worse artwork. Identity Crisis #1 was much better and I wish DC would do more crossovers like that one, less cosmic, more personal.

Read #1 tonight. I like it. I don't like it. Don't like culling a character I like.
