Thumbs up Villains United Parody Suggestions

After speaking with Blair about the heat I'm taking here for my Marvel oriented parodies, we've decided to parody Villains United 02 next week.

So, this is your chance to help with the parody before it's made. Either post or PM me with your suggestions or comments for that parody. You don't have to know photoshop, just notate which panne on which page your joke or suggestion would be used.

I will make sure everyone who's idea get's used gets an equal share of my phat, phat parody check.

I will also make sure you get a credit of some sort.

Go for it!

Well, for starters, it's called "Villains United" yet it focuses on the Secret Six, who aren't united with the other villains. So, you can surely make with the funny on that.

You can't go wrong with poop, fart and gay jokes!

How about a running group interior monologue questioning why the villains are taking on other villains, meanwhile leaving the good guys free to amok in the city! It's crazy!!!! Good guys everywhere!

Actually, skip Villains and use Day of Vengeance. 20+ pages of people standing around asking "Who are you exactly?"

I prefer to think of them as Scatological humor - it sounds more upscale.

Great Suggestion so far from everyone thanks!

be sure to point out that the mini-series' most talked about point so far was making catman into a badass, as well. with two issues in, there hasn't even been a hint as to why he is a badass, or what makes him a badass - besides standing up to a midget and woman with a pack of lions backing him, and acting like batman.

oh, and feel free to use my line that i pulled on kent (kingofcities), regarding catman: "the aquaman of the serengeti," if it works for ya.

Or OMAC Project ... you could have page after page of Maxwell Lord threatening to do horrible things to the Giffen/DeMattis-era Justice League.

Parody Gail Simone's writing in one of two ways (or both):

Have the characters telling "cuter" jokes, like something junior high school girls would tell each other, and have the other characters find these jokes hilarious.

Have the characters talk at length about how interesting and cool they think they are.

Well, I personally think it kind of sucks that CapvsBats is taking heat for his House of M parody, (a title that I really liked issue 1 of btw) at least he's being creative and having fun with it.

CapvsBats, parody whatever the hell you're inspired to parody.
I hope that you're not doing one to a DC book to placate the thin-skinned.

I should mention that I'm primarily a Marvel fan too.

Oh, my god, I knew this was coming.

Good luck, I'm sure it'll be cringe-worthy and hilarious.

It's at the bottom of the page in the "All The Rage" column.
(If this thread is being viewed later, it's in the June 12 column titled "You're On The Global Frequency".)

Don't forget to reference the fact that Talia's presence is still dubious in the VU. Have her thinking why her face is a) hidden by her hair and b) the panels deliberately focus on her body to the point of excluding her face.
