EVEN MORE FUND NEEDS CONTRIBUTORS TO RE-SEND FILES

Press Release

NEWSFLASH: Even More Funds Contributors--HELP!Major Computer Crash at Sky-Dog has Gallagher asking Even More Fund Contributors to Help Save the CBLDF Benefit Book

In an open letter to as many creators as he still has e-mail access to, John Gallagher, editor and publisher of the upcoming Even More Fund Comics (An All-Star Benefit Book for the CBLDF), is asking the many talented creators who have sent stories, sketches, and pin-ups for the book to please resend him their contributions. While it seems the files are recoverable, through a costly process now underway, Gallagher is trying hard to rebuild tghe book in order for it to be ready for the Baltimore Comicon, where it could potentially raise thousands of more dollars, than if it comes out later.

The letter is below, and Gallagher asks that anyone with access to the contributors listed,m as well as anyone else that is a part of this book, please resend the files, or contact Gallagher immediately.

________
Hey everyone, John Gallagher here-- if you contributed to Even More Fund Comics, the new CBLDF benefit book-- I need your help!

Please contact me at john@sky-dog.com, or call me at 703-573 7205 at my studio... I need you to resend your stories via e-mail or ftp (contact me for details)...

Just as I was preparing to back up my computer (and More Fund for the printer) to an 80gb drive, my computer crashed--I mean CRASHED! Major hardware damage, I'm told, but supposedly the files are still intact. I had to send the hard drive away to DISK SAVERS, a very expensive (but reliable) service, with 95% retrieval rate-- but I might not have everything back until past the time the book needs to go to press, in order for it to premiere in Baltimore.

I am committed to burn the midnight oil to redesign and set up the book so it can make it to the printer (who will work on the shortest timeframe possible), so if you can resend your story in any way, it is much appreciated.

What was lost was essentially the last month of files (life with the new baby, and a death in the family had made me lazy in backing everything up every day)-- and almost all of Even More Fund. The back ups, due to previously undiscovered problems with the drive, are incomplete, so I am unsure of what I have and what I don't. Many creators contacted have already resent some stories and art, but I unfortunately lost many e-mail addresses and phone numbers with this crash, so please pass on the news, and this e-mail!

Contributors I am trying to contact, or are in the process of
contacting:
Kurt Busiek
Neil Vokes
Mike Baron
Mike Oeming
Dean haspiel
Frank Cho
Al Nickerson
Mike Manley
Howard Porter
Ron Garney
Dave DeVries
Rich Faber
Bill Reinhold
Pat Brower
Jiba Anderson
Michael T. Gilbert
Ronn Sutton
Bob Tinnell
Mark Wheatley
Mark McKenna
Jim Califiore
Michael White
Bill Reinhold
JM Lofficier
Walter Simonson
Hi-Fi Studios
Thom Zahler
Jerry Carr
Allan Gross
A. David Lewis

and many more, you know who you are (still compiling the list)

If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to yell at me for not backing up everything, feel free to contact me. I'm so sorry to
inconvenience you all, as you have done so much already, but your timely response will probably help us to make thousands of more dollars for the CBLDF (last year's premiere raised over $3500 of the $10,000 raised through comics sales), by having the book ready for the Baltimore and SPX shows...

Hoping for the best,
John Gallagher
