EISNER/MILLER

Dark Horse has provided Newsarama with a preview from July's Eisner/Miller interview book - a discussion on the sexiness of inking.

The 250 page trade is a one-on-one discussion between Frank Miller and Will Eisner on the art form of comics, following the lines of Eisner's classic "Shop Talk" interviews with comics creators over the years.

The trade is slated to hit stores on July 14th. Click on the thumbnails for larger versions of the pages.

And finally this book will hit the stores. It will be most interesting to read what these two giants in the fields have to tell.

I can't wait to see this. I read the Comic Journal Library Frank Miller interviews and that was fascinating. A conversation between him and Will Eisner sounds tremendously interesting.

When you're done spell-checking and proofreading for errors in grammar for it.

Cool looking book. I'll give it a read, and maybe a buy.

Inking with a brush is HARD!!! But I'm not a full time inker.

I'll check it out. Seeing two of the most inspired and decent men in this particular art form collaborating and sharing their views should definitely provide an interesting read.

I wonder if this book will give any helpful inking tips or provide any original artwork.

That excerpt was as funny as hell. I love it when 'the masters' reveal themselves to be no less geeky than us!!

I think i'd better read some more stuff of theirs first though....it'd feel too much like i was eavesdropping otherwsie. (all i've read of Eisner's is his 'Don Quioxite' thing!!)

This is still the main thread for "Eisner/Miller" as far as I can tell.

I finally got my hands on a copy of this, and it's a wonderful book. Very insightful- and I haven't even finished the first third. Lots of artwork, deep discussion of the medium, and just an overall interesting read.

Highly recommended.
