Of course it's not even close. This is just a hobby I've just lost my passion for.
My kid is actually a bigger fan than I am at this time. I was buying her the Super Friends comic. Now I'll have to see if they have it at the local store.

seriously, I'm a newspaper editor. I write mostly editorials and sports. I just wrote my first book. And I plan to own my own (weekly) newspaper within two years.

Oh that's cool, writers interest me. I was asking becuase I just finished a short story and am looking for people to edit it.

I'm not the best proof reader per se. I'm more of a given direction and come up with ideas and layout type of editor.
good luck with the story.

If you like Geoff Johns' work, why don't you continue to buy his series? Do you plan to pick it up in trade, or are you done with the medium altogether?

(Just genuinely curious.)

Well I hope you reconsider because nothing was bad as the 90s, heck even Spawn is great now. All the best though and yeah get her Tiny Titans too though I suspect a savvy collector like you knows already.

I moved from Saskatoon to Vancouver Island about a year ago. I miss the comic book stores there and it's good to hear someone talking about 8th St comics. The comic store up here isn't great, though I try to support it a little.

I don't understand why you would give up reading comics just because of a couple of DC stories. So are you going to give up reading books too? Surely there must something of quality out there.

Putting aside the main topic for a second, congratulations. Sounds like you have cool stuff going on.

I can see scaling back or quitting if it seems like it isn't money well spent.
I scaled back then quit altogether in the early 90s. I didn't start collecting again until 2005!

Three years on, I am having fun again...

Isn't that your cue to get rid of some Waiting Place backstock?
