Whether you are a fan of the Ultimate line or a fan of Squadron Supreme or a big drag out superhero fight this book is for you. At first I was wondering how they were going to tell the story and how they were going to merge these two universes together. Then to go use Reed Richards ingenious ways. He is looking for a cure. What cure is that? You have to read the book. While looking for a cure Reed is destroying other universes. Not on purpose. You haveto ask yourself the question did he not learn anything from his last run into a parallel universe. Such as the Frightful Four from Marvel Zombies. This really shows that a lot of good stuff have been spinning off the FF series. You have to ask yourself why is Marvel not doing this with the Ultimate universe and not the 616 universe (regular line). Is this foreshadowing the take over of the regular line? I have to say I am in this book for the duration. I have one question does anyone know when we will ever see the end of Ultimates 2 and the beginning of Ultimates 3 and 4? For crying out loud how long does it take this book to come out.

Nice review and I have to agree that I liked this issue.
It confused me at the start when they were in the Squadron Supreme universe but I'm glad they discovered that so we can see and realise the extent of damage that Reed Richards has caused. I'm also particularly enjoying that we get to see every hero from the Ultimate universe involved in the one book. I'm also onboard for the rest of the series, pity the next issue won't be put until March.
A good issue.
8/10
In regards to the Ultimates 2, I think I read somewhere that Bryan Hitch said that he was finished pencils so it must be waiting on getting inked and coloured and lettered. But on Marvel.com they have it in for being released on 14th March. I really have no idea when the next two volumes are going to come out and I would hazard an optimistic guess that Ultimates 3 will start being solicited in late Summer/Autumn time.

Agreed. I'm really loving the knock-down drag out brawl this has been so far. I'm really glad they're reaching back into UFF history and branching off. I really dig paralell universe stories (Loved the Marvel Zombies) and am a big fan of JMS's Supreme Power Series. I hate to say that I haven't picked up any of the Squadron Supreme books since they moved to marvel knights. I really felt the book was better off in the MAX line, but that's besides the point. I really think this is a really great story that has alot of promise. Hopefully it doesn't slow down with a deluge of "talking heads" issues.

Well, while it is one, if not the ONLY Ultimate book i read, i found it an enjoyable story. However, i found the characteristics of the Squadron Supreme a little off(Nightwing playing nice with the Squad? Power Princess actually acting sane?)
B+ for me.

Well, i would actually read more Ultimate Books if they were more distinctive from 616. I think the only other book i like is the Ultimates, but i'm planning to buy them in trades. Ultimate Spidey, FF, and X-men seem redundant to me.
