Was it worth it? Any good special features?

It was good.

1)A 3 hour documentary, good but a bit boring at times.

2) Lots of deleted scenes (most of them I feel that should remain in the movie, only 3 deserved to be cut).

3) How they inserted Brando into the movie.

4) and the usual fare.

Oh! Kevin Spacey is crazy. Really.

Excelent idea!. The bad part is that the big set will probably arrive in Argentina in the years 2010...

Itīs not a region problem (my DVD player can read 1 & 4) but a money problem.

1 dollar is almost 3 pesos. The box set will cost me 3 times more that it cost you (without mentioning the shipping charge). Iīll have to save for a few months before I could begin to contemplate buying it.

And besides the tought of buying it at amazon didnīt occur to me then :)

I'd buy the big Ultimate Superman boxset, but i hear Warners f*cked up and accidentally put the wrong version of Superman III in there.

I know i'm never gonna watch it all that often, but i wanted to see some newer special features damn it.

it's a love-hate thing for this movie.

I dont get all the Superman Returns hate. There are beautiful moments in there that top even Donner.

Supes catching the plane, Luthor kicking his ass, Supes lifting an entire land mass in a goofy golden age style show of strength, etc. All astonishing.

The only thing i would have changed would be to include more goofy Clark Kent moments. The movie was all about Supes returning that Clark was almost an afterthought.

And i really admire Singer for making Richard White a nice guy. It would have been so easy to make him a b*stard, so we all wish she'd leave him, but Singer chose well.

For me....

Clark Kent being a clutz/stupid. I didn't like it when I was like 10, I still don't like it now.

The nod to Smallville cutting into screen time with no real point to it.

Lois looking like Clark's little kid sister.

The whole kid aspect.

The lack of a Supervillian.

The recycling of the plot from the first movie.

The lack of any of thise awesome Krypton technology that Luthor's bragging about.

Superman not doing anything 'Super'. Lifting large amounts of mass isn't that visually impressive, especially when it's done multiple times in the same movie.

Superman not noticing the kryptonite. I mean is Super Retardation one of his powers?

The whole "sending my son for the betterment of mankind" think stank to high heaven of Christian homage and plaid poorly.

It wasn't a bad movie but it was a TERRIBLE Superman movie, especially given the evolution of the character, both Superman and Lex Luthor, since the last movie made it's apperance.

Won't be picking this up. Didn't enjoy the movie. Especially enough to pick it up on DVD.
