If Felix Faust was "spiritually vaporized" in 52, how can he be around, and up to full power, in the OYL continuity?

Like Hector Hall did for years, Faust is basically running around with no soul now.

this would parallel what is happening in SOME DC projects of late.....writers, artists and editors with no soul. oh, and ALL of Marvel.....
had to take that one....

Well for one he can't learn any new magic now without it because he would constantly trade his soul for new spells and such.

Well technically I believe he can learn new spells, but he has to do it the hard way. Which is something slightly different then what he is used to.
