Can you either clarify or back up that comment? I'm not trying to be rude, I just love Fell, and am wondering if it's really true that Fell will be placed on hiatus while Ellis works on Newuniversal.

Apparantly it takes Warren a long time to write the scripts for each issue, what with the very compressed story telling he uses for it, not to mention how busy he is with all his other writing as well (and if you're on his mailing list you'll know that he seems to have taken on an even larger workload as of late - Red Bull must be making a killing). Add to that the fact that the mighty Ben Templesmith is also busy drawing and writing various other projects such as his excellent Gentleman Corpse series and Hatter M (which is almost finished I believe, I couldn't afford to add that one) among other things. Although it has been stated before than Ben can work on up to three books and keep a regular schedule, it must still be easier and more productive for him to have less.

All that adds up to Fell still being in production...just slowly.

It comes out when it comes out these days. But it's still coming.

alittle of both. not too much has really been revealed. I know it takes place after the Black Event at the end of all the original New Universe comics.

Deatails are totally sketchy at best, but with Salvador Larooca on art, it will be awesome!

Ellis has also got Desolation Jones and Thunderbolts on his plate now, I suppose. Also, is that god-forsaken Wolfskin book EVER going to see an issue 2? I mean really, the wait has been insane. Not that I particurally care, it's a rather mediocre book, but still a bit of fun.

Jeez, I wish Deodato wasn't doing the art on Thunderbolts. I would totally get it for Ellis alone, had they picked an artist whose art I can stand.

So what exactly is the plan for Fell? What does "on the backburner" mean, exactly? Does this mean it's cancelled for now? Delayed til further notice? Or coming out whenever Ellis wants it too?

Because as of right now, we are going to have to wait AT LEAST until February to see another issue. Fell is not on the Nov, Dec, OR Jan. solicitations. God, this really sucks.

Maybe Warren Ellis hates us and wants us to suffer.:D

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about Deodato...I mean I admit he's got some talent, but I don't want him on any of the books I'm actually enjoying, esp. a book with Ellis.

Sad news about NextWave, but Ellis did say that they were looking at doing additional miniseries later on down the road.

And I will wait patiently for Fell...provided it too, is not getting cancelled anytime soon.
