Why does everyone always balk at white martians? Is J'onn just a big raging intergalactic racist?

BanMan

So does that make Miss Martian a bad guy? Cuz I'd think she'd be able to take on all of the Titans on her own...unless she's susceptible to fire.

And does the book actually tell us where characters like Bombshell come from?

I kinda wondered, when I saw the "photo" page in Titans, with all the junior versions of (mostly JLA) heroes if it was a bit of a tweak to the Young Avengers...Iron Lad, Hulkling, Patriot, Asgardian (now Wiccan)...and now that I think about it, with Titans delays and running late, just like YA did, that confirms it. :)

Golden Eagle was a teen counterpart to Hawkman...how come no kids have wings these days?:)

As someone else said long ago, Argent had powers similar in concept to what the Green Lanterns do, as far as creating plasma objects...but she's not a teen anymore. Teen Lanterns seem unlikely on Earth...but there could be an alien "teen" down the line...?

Could you imagine an teenage boy with the power of the GL ring. He would just make naked chicks all the time and if he could focus for one moment it would be like that episode of JLU when John Steward was changed into a kid. He would keep changing his mind on what he would want to make. Hey wait a min this character actually sounds cool.....

Miss Martian's not the traitor, she was using her telepathy to hunt for the traitor. As a white martian, she's about to go terminator style on the actual traitor. At least, that's how I read it.

I'm guessing that Miss Martian's big secret she was worried about everyone finding out isn't that she's the traitor, more that she's a White Martian. She was worried how the others would treat her if they knew that was her true race. I do not think she's the traitor. Next issue's cover is just classic comic cover misdirection.

I think it's safe to say that neither Ravager nor Miss Martian is the traitor.

it was a great issue, I like Miss Martian, she is cool, kind of like the comic verson of the animated TeenTitans Starfire. I dont think they need to give her heat vision, its such a common power now between aliens who come to earth. The ending with her turning into a white martian was great, doubt she is the traitor, and wonder if she is really a white martian or just morphed into one. Either way still a cool charecter and if she is truely a white martian it will help add conflict to her charecter.

probably morphed as J'onn pointed out that martians choose form based upon their mindset.

Miss Martian didn't leave the Titans because they argued. She left because they hurt her feelings thinking bad things about her -- she's a telepath.

Damn I loved this issue. I wish they'd start another monthly Titans book that just has all of these brand new characters. I'm really digging them all. :)

As for the Zatara loves Raven/Kid Devil thing, in the very first OYL issue they had all of those one panel flashbacks from Cyborg's perspective as he was popping in and out of consciousness. In the Zatara panel, didn't he say something about not being able to concentrate when SHE was around? That seems to indicate that it was Raven he has the hots for. I'd love to see an issue though that tells the tale of when Eddie and Zatara were stranded in that other dimension.

Man, OYL hit and Geoff just peeled the cap back and opened up a thousand new avenues of story potential here.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a feeling that this sudden influx of teenage "counterpart" heroes is a story in and of itself. Something isn't right there!

I'd like to see Zatanna's take on her "cousin," Zatara. Especially if you consider the fact that Geoff Johns has pointed out several times recently that she has no family. Kind of fishy there.

Rose is not the traitor, and neither is Miss Martian. That's my guess. I liked Miss Martian's "Superman" story way too much, so that may be clouding my opinion...but the "evil white martian" bit is going to be a red herring.

Oh, and please kill off Zatara. He's even worse than I had feared him to be.

What if the "traitor" Raven felt was the then-gone Titan, Robin? And his "crime"? The cloning attempts? Tim could have started his plans for the cloning & cloning lab before his took his leave of absence.

Just a thought for an interesting plot development.

Regardless, I think it would make more sense and have more impact if the trator is someone we're seen before as opposed to one of the new characters. Raven herself? Beast Boy (it could be why he & Raven broke up)? Cassie (and her Ares connection)? Rose? (too obvious) Kid Devil? (hmmmm)

The again, what about Wendy & Marvin? Seeking revenge because Wonder Dog wasn't allowed in the Tower?

Actually, looking back through my Sins of Youth TPB, the JLA were all de-aged (and Young Justice got older, and the Titans went both ways...), and Kyle, the then-current GL was hilarious, and he hardly ever spoke! In just about every panel he appeared in, he had a different costume. It seemed so spot on for what he'd be like as a kid.

I agree, the JLU version of John Stewart, age 8 (or whatever) was also great...especially when he decided he needed glasses, and made a mask that looked like Kyle's original one.:D

But still, naked green chicks and race cars aside (all things Kyle used to make...hmmm), I'd still be very afraid if a kid had a ring...it'd be like giving one to Plastic Man.

You have a point. Although, I'd hardly call a cousin much in the way of family. I haven't seen some of my cousins in decades. It probably means she has no immediate family and she's much closer to the League than she is to any cousin whom she may or may not even know about or have met.

Zatara loves Raven.

Girl Martian probably isn't traitor, too predictable.

Ravager probably isn't traitor, but being called a traitor will get to her.

Whatever happened to Robin and Wonder Girl kissing?

Bombshell? Who the heck is that? What authority does she have to even say Ravager is traitor. She's a newbie. But she probably isn't traitor unless she is doing so for the government.

About Zatara's pic of Raven...Raven's pic looks odd. As if she were laying in bed. That makes me suspicious for some reason. Were they possibly more than just friendly. Could Zatara be the traitor?

And the Zatara/Eddie adventure is going to be made into comic someday I hope. It sounds more interesting than Teen Titans is right now. Right now it is a bit of a flat plain with nothing fully interesting about it, but with some interesting things that make you still shell out the $2.99 for it.

The Ravager/Wonder Girl feud gets to me. I bet next issue will have them at arms again. If they did it in a mud ring in bathing suits I'd like it, but their cat-fight bickering is getting lame.

Yami Ash

I agree that White Martian Girlhunter seems too obvious, but my judgement is compromised since I see her as an homage to animated Starfire, who I loved. Although one possible theory is that she distributed her traitorous side among the other Titans and used them to get the book, and what we saw in those last pages was her taking that back from them. That would explain Ravager's traitorous actions Bombshell related to us but not force her off the team.

As for Zatara, maybe he's bisexual. I mean, it's obvious he loves Raven, but it wasn't "Titans" he was yelling, it was "Eddie!"

To be honest, if the traitor hasn't appeared yet, It would be kinda lame to spring him on us now. So it's probably one of the Titans in the last couple issues.
