how about geoff, mark, greg, and grant do the next major event?
suggest topic and artist
for me, i'll go with superboy prime and cyborg superman and darkseid VS EARTH! by jim lee
NO Jim Lee, it will never come out on time or have 67 diffrent artist on the book. Give Ivan Reis enough lead time and he'd knock a book like that out of the park.

Not Johns, he proved to me with Infinite Crisis that he doesn't really write big events all that well. And Rucka isn't really suited to the more explodey side of things.
But Morrison or Waid would be good.

thats why morrison or waid are there to help them. i just want to see what a major event looks like 4 writers instead of one writes it, would there still be major plot holes, almost unused thread(*cough* space heroes *cough*) etc.. or would the guys correct each other.

Well, if 52 maintains it's quality, I'm going to say yes.

I really would want to see that...as long as ION takes on either Superboy-Rrime, Darkseid, or Cyborg-Supes and wins.

After all the cosmic brew-ha-ha of Infinite Crisis (including the Rann/Thanagar War & OMAC stuff), I'd rather see DC go Marvel's route and do something Earth-based/character-based involving the majority of the DCU. I'm not saying rip-off Marvel & Civil War, but something along that scope.
Having said that, the next big thing will probably involve the New Gods

Give it to Morrison and let him do whatever he wants with the DCU.

That's how it should work. I just thought about this the other day. What would it mean if more writers worked in teams?

I agree with this. I have been digging Ivan Reis on Green Lantern. You need an artist who can give quality AND put a book out on time.
Also as far as writers are concerned, I enjoyed Infinite Crisis and I am loving 52. So if they need to they could use Giffen for plot and story breakdowns.

I'd buy it. 52 has been pretty cool.

Unlike Marvel, DC has said that they are done with big events temporarily.
However, I would like to see Grant Morrison do an event that involves the New Gods and Darkseid's final fight with Orion.

yah they've said we're not getting a massive cross over thing till 2008. which is ok, cause 52 is gonna continue into 2007. then there's that new gods thing that's gonna go down.

I'm calling it here and now.
The next big thing is going to address all these duplicates we're seeing.
Every hero these days has
(1) a dark opposite
(2) a teen edition
(3) an optional older edition
Take The All-New All Different Atom for instance
(1) the opposite guy currently featured in his series
(2) the kid who was in the Teen Titans picture
(3) the missing legacy Ray Palmer
There are many other examples. Heck, Martian Manhunter's got his own!

I had to vote against the idea. I'm really enjoying 52, but there are some storylines that I might not pick up if they weren't in this series. Since I don't know who's writing what I'm left clueless.
I DO like all the writers on the book, and I would love to see another event in 07-08 handled by one of them (or two together).

i was thinking that too. i want a more earth base event like civil war, but i thought that heroes vs heroes doesnt work well anymore except for mind-controlled or something which is weak. Civil war type stories(politics) doesnt work well in DC, i think. Doesnt even work well for me in Civil War(friends for how many years fighting almost to the death for politics or something). Anyway, unless they think of a clever new way inorder for heroes to fight each other then i dont think it will work.
i also just added darkseid in my suggestion cause i think thats where theyll be heading next: the NEW GODS!

P.S. i think the villains united style would have been great! but just that! 7 issues of villains uniting and tearing each and every superhero apart!! maybe until they double team each villian and win! hehhehe
