The Booster Gold = Rip Hunter theory...

I realize the 2 have met before in the Booster series and that they have different appearances. What they have in common so far is they are both time travelling adventures, they have used items from other time periods and have similar physical characteristics(hieght, size, hair and eye color,etc). I beleive it is possible as others have stated that they are actually the same person.

1) Recently a Geoff Johns JSA issue Rip suggest Rip Hunter is not his actual name and his "real" I.D. is secret.

2) As far as we have seen only Booster, Dan Carter and Rip Hunter have been able to access Rip's lab. Skeets specifically sought out Daniel Carter as a person with similar DNA as Booster and he immediately used him to access Rip's Lab. It's possible that only Rip Hunter or someone with similar DNA can enter this area. Remember what Skeets says cannot be trusted access to the lab seems to be the only use Skeets had for Dan.

Yes and remember what happened when Skeets closed the door activating the security system inside? I doubt that Rip Hunter would set up his equipment to send his ancestor into a time loop thereby destroying any chance of ever existing.

This could not have been true in the continuity as it existed during Booster's book.

It was determined that the human body could only withstand the strain of any one method of time travel once. Rip and Booster time travelled together twice, thus he would have done it once as Booster, then once as Rip.

The security system activated due to tampering/break in at the door and so it automatically treated Daniel as a tresspasser. Skeets then hacked into the system so Dan with then be caught in a time loop.

Skeets actively selected a someone of similar DNA to enter the lab. Why didn't he just select anyone why did he need someone with DNA ties to Booster? As Skeets stated Dan "serve his purpose" after he gave him access to the lab.

During the "JSA/JSA' arc, the JSA saw Rip's face. Wouldn't any of them know what Booster looked like ? Wouldn't they have noticed a resemblance ?

Power Girl should have seen Booster unmasked at least once, as she was a member of JLE at the same time Booster was in the American branch.

If Lex Luthor can change Alexander Luthor's body to look like his as shown in 52, I think a time-traveller would have no problem changing his looks.

Personally, I think there's a higher chance Rip is really Daniel than Booster.

But the lab had a time lock (heh heh) that Skeets had to open when Booster went in. I think, assuming Skeets has gone all evil on us, that he took Daniel to the lab as part of his manipulations, not because of a DNA issue.

Otherwise, I guess Rip could be Booster...but do we really want Rip to be Booster?

The only BG appearance last week was as a photo in JLA #2, where it was commented that they could pass his suit onto a successor.

Of course, they referred to it as honoring "Ted's" memory instead of "Michael Jon Carter's" memory, so take that reference with a grain of salt; I'm sure the writer just flubbed.
