<blockquote>Harris Comics is pleased to announce voting is now open at Vampirella.com to decide the winner of the 2006 Harris Comics Talent Search contest. The finalists are Michela Da Sacco, Marcelo Ferreira, Agnes Garbowska, Pablo Verdugo Munoz and Eduardo Savid. Voting will be open till noon EST, next Wednesday, September 20. Harris will announce the winner in its Vampirella 2006 Halloween Special and reward him or her with a paid gig penciling a Vampirella short story in 2007.

“We received entries from around the globe,” says Editorial Director Bon Alimagno. “We couldn't be happier with the variety of styles you see in these finalists' entries. There's something there for everybody and I look forward to seeing who the fans think we should work with.”

The contest is just another of the big online developments for Vampirella. Vampirella.com now features a Vampi Blog. Those are all particularily bad. The storytelling is either weak, or nearly missing.

@ FIG: correct. BUt somehow it seems like a lot of effort (too much) was in it
@ Arvandor: lovely indeed. But I am feeling it is a bit too static. Though the images in itself are magnificent, I need more storytelling in the sequentialart
@AllAboutMe: well...I am very happy with these finalists!!

Personnally I totally love the art, storytelling and Rella's looks in Agnes and Mercelo's artwork!!

Agnes has the Ramos (but even better in my perspective) look with the pouted lips and the great facial expression
Marcelo has more detail, a lot more. And I really can not decide between them!!

But something off the softness Agnes brings to Vampirella makes me choose that particular artist!
