What is this comic about?

How is it linked to the DCU?

What are the abilities of these beings in the book?

Who is the main villain? What are his powers?

Why is Superman in it?

What is a Metaverse?

Thanks.

It's about a group of young entities from another dimension traveling along the edge of space and time, escaping from an evil organization that limits their freedom called The Iron Ring.

It's linked to the DCU because they end up causing a rip in the fabric of time-space when they come to earth (chasing their "dog"). Because of their presence on earth (taking the form of human-looking beings ... uh .. sort of), they cause the death of a young girl named Monikka. They have to "bond" with her in order to save her life. But now, if they leave Monikka's side, they will cause her death. So they stick around, the young girl becoming their hostess and attempting to teach them how to be part of earth life. However, their presence here on earth is causing time to get all wonky. Time seems to have folded in on itself because of that rip they caused.

I don't think the main villain has been that defined yet. That aforementioned evil organization The Iron Ring (mainly evil because they forcibly discourage free thought) dispatches someone to go get these young entities. When he arrives on earth, I'm sure all hell will break loose and we'll get a taste of what the Iron Ring can do. Also, there's this Oblivian Shadow heading toward earth that was unleashed by the rip in time-space. It looks nasty!

Superman's in it because he was flying through the sky and noticed the rip in space and time because, well, he can see stuff, right? And of course now he's trying to deal with the fact that time has folded on itself. Dinosaurs are running through LA, old cars are driving the streets - that sort of thing. He ends up being able to follow the trail of the young inter-dimensional travelers, and he meets them -- although he's not particularly enjoying the experience of dealing with a batch of rebellious teenagers.

Metaverse? Hmmm... I'm not recalling that term. I don't have the issues handy or I'd look it up.
