Seriously, can DC ever make up their minds? Isnt that why they had COIE and IC in the first place? Didnt they screw up continuity enough with the multiverse the first time?

I don't see a multiverse? Do you see a multiverse? if you're referring to the second earth that was found in JLoA #0, that was a possible future that may very well never come to pass. There is no multiverse. yet.

Didnt they screw up continuity enough with the multiverse the first time? That question doesn't make any sense. DC continuity worked perfectly well until they LOST the Multiverse. That is when we started seeing all the continuity glitches, erasures, tweaks, and contradictions that plague us to this day.

Still, I doubt he's recreating the Multiverse. It's probably just meant as a single story like Morrison's 'Earth-2' was.

Don't you love when posters start rant-threads like this and don't tell you wtf they're talking about or referring to ? :D

That's not the first time I've heard that DC started having problems when they actually got rid of the multiverse.

Is it me or did IC seem like it was well on it's way to recreating the multiverse until the very end?

I was pretty excited when it seemed like that until they stuck with the single Earth theory.

I personally believe that the original Crisis was a mistake. If they had done what was orginally proposed, just straightening the History of the DC Universe out, and not gotten rid of the Multiverse, things would be much better today.

Maybe I haven't read enough in-continuity DC comics, but is it really that confusing? Marvel has at least 6 different "universes", some of which interact from time to time, and I don't see them launching huge event miniseries to simplify things. They do huge events to make things MORE complicated, and even when they drop the ball the fans still eat it up with a spoon.

You're kidding yourself if you think DC doesn't already have a multiverse. How about all the different 'verses under Vertigo and Wildstorm with varied levels of interaction?

Guys, that scene in JLoA #0 was the Qward version of Earth. The antimatter universe doesn't play by the same rules as the Multiverse. Its always been around, pre- and post-Crisis. Just think of it as the DCU's semi-conjoined evil twin.
