How many times have you dropped Outsiders from your list. I dropped it twice and haven't returned yet.

NOT EVEN ONCE!!

For a team callled the 'Outsiders' this group has sure been in the thick of things in the DCU.

Moreover, with the crap that Devin Grayson (and now Bruce Jones) have been flinging about in the 'Nightwing' title, there are but a few venues for Dick Grayson fans.

And for a closer, one word: GRACE :D

Never dropped it.

Of course, I've never actually bought an issue of Outsiders, but that's beside the point.

As did I. It had been on the edge for awhile, and that horrible issue did it for me. Although I liked his Batman run, I'm enjoying my Winick-free life right now.

Haven't dropped it yet, although some of the infinite Crisis tie ins were dreadful I have generally been enjoying this title. It's not as bad as people make it out to be.

i'm currenty on my third drop. every time i do, something pulls me back in. the flashback to the originals tale, which blew, brought me back the first time; and kingofcities (damn you Kent!!!!!  ) talked me into tracking down the first 3 OYL issues with promises of better stories, a good rendition of Dick Grayson, and Mallah/Brain/Garrick clone-y goodness. i will never forgive him for lying so badly to me. now i've dropped it again, and i just REALLY don't see myself coming back unless drastic changes in both lineup and more especially creative team are made...

I dropped it for the first time after the last issue. I'd thought about it on about 3 seperate occassions, but then something would happen that would be just enough to see where they were going with it.

The last issue did it for me. I would never call it good since OYL but there were just enough interesting tidbits floating out there to keep me coming back every month. The extended flashback and Mallah's stupid speech at the beginning did me in though. No more for me.

NEVER. The book is constantly entertaining and engaging.
It isn't as pretentious as some other groups of titles and for the most part you are able to follow the storyline from month to month without ever having to fill in the blanks.

I also agree given Grace's charming personality she is probably a Fury or was trained to be one.

I read it.

It could be considered a rip-off in the fact that both are from Apokolips.

However Lashina was temporary. She had lost her memory. And became the Duchess. Then everything returned and She kidnapped a bunch of people to take back with her.

I get the feeling that IF Grace is from Apokolips then she has not be there for a long a while. Maybe she escaped or was rescued when she was young.

I held on with this book for far too long.
I've only dropped it once, and that was recently (ish).
The day that they decided it was a good idea to have Dick Grayson, Nightwing condone the use of torture to get the info that they needed out of a prisoner.
No matter how good it might get from here on out, that single moment has ruined the book.
Winnik is a capable writer, it's just that he sucks on this series.

I bought issues #1-23 from Yoni, read them all in one sitting, and really enjoyed them. I bought the Insiders issues but didn't add the book to my pull list. I officially jumped on with OYL. Metamorpho posed as her later on so the dictator might've slept with him. I think that was right before they stranded him on the island.

Ah a Charlton fan are we? over half your choices are from Charlton comics- all that is missing is Judomaster and Thunderbolt

overall, I am continually entertained from this comic and really fail to see what the hostilty toward Winnick is with some people. What i really like about his writing is that he doesn't "blow his wad" on all the characters right away. There is a feelingl that there are continually going to be more and more storylines for these characters without the plots drying up as the case has happened over in the X-men and happened in The New Teen Titans after a while. (and even in the Barr version of this title) this bodes well for the long term readership. where being patient with a long term writer on a team book can pay off in spades

Yeah, no ones ever had had a team member turn on their team mates before! And Captain Marvel with the lightning? Using an offensive ability against an opponent? Yeesh, next thing Winick will have Green Lantern using his power ring to form a giant fist, or Batman throwing a batarang at someone, insane! As for Shift and Morph, I'll have to decline to comment as I'm not sure what's going on with Shift. I haven't dropped the book but have purchased the entire run of TPB's up to issue 33. I actually got this series because of the under the hood storyline and the first thunder book. Based on these I tracked down Outsiders and Green Arrow and have yet to be disappointed by Winick. Are some issues below standard? Yes. But overall the books are great.
