I couldn't find a thread about this and I want to talk about it! Nice little trick Guy pulled. It was pretty predictable but a good issue any ways. Wondering what direction the other GLs storylines are going in (the guy who is in love). The next issue looks to be a fill-in issue but it should have a lot of Guy. Did any one else find the issue a little bit choppy in the latter half? Some of the scenes near the end when Guy was asking for the vacation then told to get coffee and such.

well they do have a lot of story threads to get to.
I thought this was another good issue.
It felt like they were building up Ragnar(sp?) to be a great villain for Guy but then the swerve came and he served as backstory for Iolande(sp?). I was kinda hoping that Guy would wind up with Dr Natu but maybe that's not in the cards. We'll see.
The lizard love thing was kinda cute, in a butt ugly way and I liked the interior and exterior looks at Oa.
Gleason is perfect for this book.
Bring on Bolphunga!

did you notice that beyond Guy I didn't name any one? I don't have the issue in front of me and couldn't remember anybody's names. :D

yeah, there's a lot of relatively new alien names to remember now. I keep tmixing up the names of Vath Sarn (scarface) and Isamot Kol (lizard). It'll get easier as they are fleshed out. I'm digging all the new guys. They really don't even have to stick to this bunch to keep me happy. The more the merrier.
oh and does anyone like Green Man and Stel? They are always in the background. I hope there is some time to tell their stories in GLC.

I figured it was just a twist but I'm glad that officially Natu is alive. Wonder how long until she and Guy hook up? ;)
I really dug this issue though. Patrick Gleason kicks my ass every single issue here. I think he's gone next month but it's cool. If he needs a break to catch up, I'm all for it. :)

Did anyone else get the feeling Iolande(good as guess as any) has the hots for Natu? I kind of thought she was hitting on her when she offered "consolling" after Natu's partner dies. I would like that to be a fun subplot, with Natu always shirking off her advances.
I think Gibbons is the fill in artist, so you can't really complain about that.
Great series.

Gleason is perfect for this book.Yeah he is. Great book all around, too. Since the beginning of the Recharge mini, this series has been one of the top 3 DC or Marvel books I look forward to each month.

I like Guy Gardner so much as a character, that I am willing to suffer through Gibbon's outdated art every other storyline, just to put this book to the top of my reading list :D .

Yep, it's Gibbons. I don't like the way he draws Guy so much but it's not terrible and Dave pretty much rocks everything else so I can be patient.

I'm liking this book a lot more than I thought I would...I think I'm gonna sub to it again.
