Serious Dear Bendis.
Whatever you hear about decompression is ridiculous.
Decompression is the future of comic storytelling. Its just that the format of American comics haven't caught up.
Keep it up.

Serious Dear Bendis
Im sorry that nolan kid drove you off, he's too busy babbling about comic abstracts like pacing and "storytelling" and not about the serious nitty gritty stuff of comics... LIKE THE ACTUAL STORY lol
like the following
anyways, I think you got to stop raping Reed Richards and the rest of this 'Illuminati' and tend some of the garden patch of 616 continuity (that means no ultimate stuff k?). for example, I think itd be pretty cool if this 'illuminati' mini somehow ended in Beast going back to ape-Beast instead of lame ass Cat-beast, hopefully some neglected Avengers baddy *ahem* like IMMORTUS could make a retcon so that HE WAS NEVER THE STUPID CAT-BEAST EVER in all flashbacks of the morrison era.
pretty rad idea huh?

Dear Bendis,
What's the point of having this thing on Newsarama to get new readers on the book, when the book hasn't come out in time since it left Image? I mean I've been reading the book since the beginning. What's my reward? Reading Powers every few months. Now people get to read for free, what I paid for. Gee, thanks.

Dear Bendis,
For a creator that has probably taken more flack than any other in the 20th century, I just wanted to drop a statement on you that hopefully resonates as well as intended:
The comics industry is better for having you working in it.
Peace,

This is a way to get new readers. Many of the people who like it will buy it. The only Bendis I've read prior to this was Torso (which I enjoyed). So far I'm enjoying this one too.

It's funny how I started my post saying "What's the point of having this thing on Newsarama to get new readers on the book, when the book hasn't come out in time since it left Image?" and you followed it with "This is a way to get new readers. Many of the people who like it will buy it." Cuz yah see, I said What's the point of having this thing on Newsarama TO GET NEW READERS ON THE BOOK, when the book HASN'T COME OUT IN TIME SINCE IT LEFT IMAGE. And then you followed it with THIS IS A WAY TO GET NEW READERS. Yah see, to paraphrase I said WHY GET NEW READERS ON A BOOK THAT NEVER COMES OUT ON TIME. Please, let me know if I you don't get it. I'll try to explain it to you again.

Here (http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&y=9&isbn=0785118055&x=18) is another. You'll note that this edition was published by Marvel and released on February 8, 2006. It contains the first three arcs. If you just want Who Killed Retro Girl, Image is releasing an edition on October 25th (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1582406693/sr=1-15/qid=1155707678/ref=sr_1_15/104-1778719-7321543?ie=UTF8&s=books).

Do you have a point? After Loeb's explanation I'll still stand by what I said. Poor girl almost couldn't go to UC Berkeley and would have had to settle for UCLA. Ooooh nooooo! What would have happened to her life if she had gone to UCLA? She'd probably end up on the street giving bj's for crack. What a relief. It must be so difficult to have such limited options. Poor under-priviledged girl.

dude, it's a public school in LA. There are plenty of poor kids who go there. And it doesn't matter if Powers has been on schedule since moving to Marvel or not. As David was trying to explain (subtly is apparently not one of your stronger suits) Powers Daily is currently only showing Who Killed Retro Girl. A story which has already been completed and is available in trade. If a new reader enjoys Powers daily then they can either pick up the tpb or track down the singles. Hopefully they won't just stop with Who Killed Retro Girl, but Powers has never been one of those books that you can expect to see every month. I mean, if that was gonna hinder anyone from trying it, Matt would be pretty crazy to be doing the same thing with Kabuki, which has three months or more between issues.

I admit, I'm realitively new to 2000 AD, but from what I've noticed there is more story, character, action and art development in a five page strip than many titles I read. Maybe that's not what its all about, but that's what sense.
Then again I maybe completely misunderstanding this decompression/compression thing.

I quoted this, because I feel it deserves reinforcement. I really hope Brian saw this, because I think it reflects the way many of us feel. The Brian Bendis fans may not be quite as vocal as the critics, but I hope he knows that he's doing right by the comic industry and the Marvel characters have gained a lot since he started writing them.
Brian brings heartfelt emotion to his characters, which is much-appreciated. His love for the medium shows, and I respect him for that. I greatly enjoy his work.
Thanks for all your hard work and great comics, Brian!

Are you still bald?
I'd figure what with all that Ultimate Spidey money you're rolling around in you'd get a hair transplant or something.
Maybe you could go in with Brian K Vaughn or Grant Morrison and get a 2-for-1 deal or something.
Love ya man.
