It's good. People who like the daily page feature should buy the actual trades. They are good.

I just wanted to be the first to post a thread in the new forum.

And Powers is severely awesome, as is Kabuki. They are books you'll be happy to spend money on.

I used to like Powers, but after a while something didn't click and I just lost all interest. I think it was Bendis's way of doing really really anti-climatic endings. You got all this build up and mystery, lots of questions. Then all the pieces just fell into Walkers lap and it got resolved so patly it hurt.


Oh, and the Forever arc pretty much sucked all the life out of the series for me, so after about the 6th issue of the Icon series, I dropped it like a bad habbit.

*shrugg* It's been a few years now, I don't really miss it.

You know, I never, ever bought Powers. Then came the issue where Warren Ellis made an appearance and was apparently horribly disfigured. I wasn't hooked because Ellis was maimed, but because if he agreed to have his likeness used in that way, he must respect the product. I read that issue and was kinda hooked. I bought an issue here and there (I live in a small town, so the availability of Powers is sketchy at best). I finally found one trade, Forever. I loved it. Even with the monkey sex (monkeys, they don't do it, they make love--thx The State). I want more and can't for the love of Christ find them nearby.

Maybe I should shop online.

In short, the daily strip is sweet. I can get caught up.

Animal - all you have to do is click the left hand column image links to purchase the trades online. Each trade will be featured as the strip moves into the next arc!
