The Mystery of Layla Miller Revealed in X-Factor #6

Layla Miller of X-Factor knows stuff. Now get ready to learn some “stuff” yourself as Layla’s secret background is revealed in the pages of X-Factor #6.

We first caught a glimpse of Layla Miller in the House of M, but what is revealed about her is something that neither X-Factor nor its faithful readers could ever have expected.

Plus, witness the aftermath of Siryn’s brutal confrontation from last issue, Guido decides to go jogging, and an uninvited and unexpected doctor makes a house call.

So do not miss out on “The Butterfly Defect” in X-Factor #6 as we learn a little bit more about little Ms. Know-It-All, Layla Miller. Remember, she knows stuff; including whether you pick up this issue or not.

Gorgeous cover. PAD is doing a great job fleshing out Layla little by little, giving her a dark humor edge, and I can't wait to read more about her. Also, Calero's art is getting better and better with each issue. Hope they find a decent replacement for him with ish #11 (Gaydos! Gaydos!).

Very nice. I wish we had the word balloons so we read what was being said, but the artwork does a good job of telling a very evocative-looking story taking place in the aftermath of what happened to Siryn in issue #5. I know everyone's disappointed with Sook's departure, but I'm still digging Calero's work just as much.
I'm really warming up to Layla too, especially after she took out the hitman a couple issues back. Priceless. This is my favorite Masrvel book right now.

My choices are Pablo Raimondi, Mike Gaydos, Yanick Paquette (he was rumored to be taking over an X title a little while ago), or Mark Bagley. He can do two books at once.

I so want this guy to be the new regular penciler. (And that's not a shot at Gaydos or Raimondi, or Baglet for that matter.) But damn this guys is talented and he draws hot women and he can work shadows effectively. He should be the next artist on X-Factor, IMO.

I think Sean Phillips would be a great choice. He's done super hero noir before (see Sleeper) and he's had experience drawing X-books already (see Uncanny X-Men).

Feeling like a blind man here.

All the Crisis-related stuff caught my attention and it seems that I totally missed another good book. AGAIN.

And I'll bet you never even heard of "Fallen Angel."

You've pretty much nailed the major problem books like X-Factor and Fallen Angel face: A massive signal to noise ratio that makes it damned near impossible for potential readers to learn about them.
