Crazy episode with lots of villain on villain action. Lex and Tala realize that their are fragments of Brainiac still in space, so Lex converts the Legion of Doom's headquarters into a spaceship. Most of the villains think Lex is crazy, so Tala frees Grodd and starts a mutiny. Lex punks out Tala, and throws Grodd out into space. Toyman beats Killer Frost with a yo-yo. Killer Frost then betrays Grodd's group of villains and Lex tells her to get rid of them. Cut to Lex using Tala's magic to bring in the Brainiac fragments. Lex tells Toyman to start the machine, but then realizes that something is wrong. He hears a strange voice behind, and that voice belongs to none other than Metron! He tells Lex not to screw around with the fragments, that it will bring about universal destruction. Lex blows him off, and then starts up the machine. The machine works and Lex announces that "their new ruler" has arrived. Lex looks into the machine, and he sees known other than Darkseid! Darkseid (in a funky new armor) thanks the LOD and then destroys their ship. Cut to Apokalips where Vermin Vundabar and Granny Goodness' forces are battling for the throne of Apokalips. Burnadeth makes her first appearance and tells Granny's group to march. Darksied shows up and stops the fight. He then commands everyone that Superman and Earth shall fall, but first he wants to make a sidetrip to New Genesis. Cut to Earth where Superman and the JLU are informed that they are needed outside. They run out there to find Lex and whats left of the LOD. Lex then says, "We have a problem."

Man this episode gave me several "Holy S***" moments. Hearing Michael Ironside's voice again was awesome -as were the ending credits which showed some of next episode. Darkseid looked to be a slight fusion between himself and Brainiac (at least cosmetically).

And didn't Darkseid look REALLY big? He seemed twice as big as everyone around him.

Bring on the next episode. This episode gave me some big time chills.

it was an awesome episode... loved the "warring" factions... kind of reminded me of Villians united...
