View Full Version : IC#2 - Posting spoilers early or not?

Here's the deal. I am able to read most comics 1 day early, and I dont mind putting my thoughts on said books out. Here's the thing...I more or less want to get a general feel for the book out there, not its entire contents...but that doesnt seem to matter much to others, considering I can apparently be a "____-tease" (such flattery).
For a book such as IC#2, a book i know almost all of you will read (and if your not...go away, this threads not for you), would you rather me post an opinion, or a detailed spoiler-filled review? Mini-Poll above, your comments below.
Thanks for your input.

I'd say don't post any spoilers until Wednesday. Tease, sure. Spoilers, probably not. Of course, as long as you say there are spoilers, we all have the choice not click. It's not an easy choice to make though :)

Go for it but just to make sure to make sure it says it has spoilers in the title.

So long as you post spoilers and mention it in the Title of the thread it's ok.
You could even do a spoiler version and a non-spoiler one where you drop hints about the storyline but nothing else. That way both camps are happy as the ones who want to know all can read the spoiler one and the others who want hints only can talk in whichever thread they want to go to.

I am lazy, but that really does sound like a good way to go... the only problem is when some douche bag from the spoiler thread drops bombs on the non-spoiler thread... which can happen to ANY other thread which is why im normally a little bit more cautious when i post them early.
Thanks for voting guys (even the one who voted i was an Ass :D )

That punk. :p
Stop answering that phone, chap!
You can post spoilers as you long as you say in the thread title "SPOILERS AHOY - SHIVER ME TIMBERS!"

Already been there for both IC#1 and HoM#8
I just want to see what more people think, other than the first 3 jack-holes to whine in those threads (No offence, Punchy ;) )

I prefer you don't say anything about it until the book actually goes on sale. I fear that people will read what you reveal and spread it around on other threads.

It's fine with me if you post stuff early with IC #2 Spoilers in it, as long as you clearly warn us in the title of the thread that this is what you're doing so that we don't end up reading advance information we didn't want to have, by mistake, if we click on your thread.
I recognize the possibility that some idiot will read your thread, and then start posting in other threads (that don't have IC #2 Spoiler Warnings) about information that he gleaned from your thread - but I don't see why that should be your problem. You are not responsible for other people's obnoxious behavior!

I should have something up within a couple of hours. I will do a spoiler thread (you asked for it), but if there is something HUGE, I may just leave that for the rest of the Internets to leak...maybe

I don't care how early you post your spoilers. Just so long as you don't put them in the title of your thread. I get my books on Wednesdays so usually nothing is ruined for me but it's the principle of the thing.

No clue what that means...
That being said, i just finished reading it. Wow. Much like #1, it is FULL of info...an amazing amount really. This will explain the multiple Earths, as well as show where IC is headed (at least for now). I'm going to make a spoiler thread in a minute, so TRY and have some patience and just read it when you get it, not get everything out of context. Enjoy!

Nigel...
Please keep posting the spoliers. To me, it only heightens the anticipation of getting to read it.
After all, I knew the basic plot of 'Batman Begins' before I went thanks to the 'Rama, and that turned out pretty good, didn't it? :)
