Never picked up a Rex Mundi ish before but I love Juan on Small Gods so I gave this a shot. Now I wanna go back and find all those issues I missed. But I wont because they won't have this awesome art and sixteen did such a great job of getting me up to speed!

I'd pick up the two trades. Both of them are WELL worth it (and I'm NOT an indie kid, as I'm sure you know....).

I agree. EricJ, the co-creator did the true face of the characters IMHO.
I do like Juan's work, especially the framing in this issue which I thought really made it pop, but he's changed the main characters...except for the Duke...A LOT!
