i only managed to get one of these issues - The Breakup Issue (what a beautiful & sad story) - when they were coming out. but that's all it took for me. i've been searching for the series ever since.

so i have been quite happy to discover the (Finally!) release of the trade.

i got the first issue but it didnt keep my attention. my friends dad stayed with the series and as i read more and more i fell in love. i will now be getting local and DMZ from wood because demo was such an amazing read. the last issues cover alone is enough to get me to buy the whole series. im a sucker for a pretty cover.

and im sure that if i had stuck around for the second issue i would own all the singles, but this collection looks too good to pass up. is it digest sized? cuz i hear it is.

I picked up the first four issues of this comic, and though I thought it had some good ideas, and the art was great, it just didn't "wow" me. I liked the one issue with the girl at the gas station who couldn't speak, since people end up doing exactly what she says. I believe it was the second issue.

and yup it's 6X9 bookshelf size. which doesn't make me happy. the paper use din the Runaways books is really crappy. hope it's not the same

but the main prob with runaways is that the coloring doesnt translate well on the paper, there is no color in demo!! but yeah, i hope they use glossy paper ala mary jane digests cuz that $#!t rocks.

i just realized that 6x9 is actually bigger than the marvel digest format. but i agree about the glossy paper. i'm still getting it either way
