The comics company or the Bendis series...oh yeah indie board. I really liked it when it first started but my favorite Alias series "Elsinore" just left and the other Alias books suffer from some serious lateness..

I pre-order almost all of Alias' titles and most of them are pretty good.

While, I pretty much pre-ordered everything from them at first, I can no longer support the company due to Mike Miller's homophobic tendencies and fanatical right-wing beliefs. Anyone who publishes near pornographic material (The Legend of Isis, Judo Girl, and a few other books) and drops comics because the creators are creating erotic material on the side is just not someone who I want to support in any manner. In fact if you do a search, I started a "boycott Alias" thread.

welll, since the old "I know it when I see it line" can come into play, half dressed woman in comics without actual nudity COULD count as pornography. I wouldn't count it, but I guess some people may.

I looked through your deviant art, you're a colourist, right? Did you do that Yenny pic for the actual comic or just for fun?

I liked Elsinore and XIII. I figure it would be better to wait for the trades on both of those now, with the lateness and all.

I enjoy Lullaby.
I tried Legend of Isis, but thought it was just "blah."
I've preordered Victoria's Secret Service. We'll see. Hopefully it won't be some jigglefest.

I'm enjoying Legend of Isis but i've only been able to find the first two issues. Armor Quest is good too. I picked up the Elsinor and X111 75 cent issues and liked them. I liked the Lullaby trade as well.
I'd like to check out the Imaginaries and Judo Girl Next.
Alias has a diverse lineup of titles.

You're hoping Victoria's Secret Service is not a jigglefest??? LOL.....what else can it be?
I hate being a doomsayer here(being a huge fan of Crossgen and knowing what it's like when a company dies) BUT.....I just noticed in the September sales figures that only 2 Alias titles are in the top 300 and very low at that. XIII with 3300 sold and Elsinore with about 2900(which has just left the publisher also). Other indicators like late shipping and books being dropped doesn't bode well for the long term I'm afraid.

Knowing ALIAS' executive director Victoria's Secret' Service will unavoidably, and hypocritically so, be a "Jigglefest." After all, it's the Christian thing to do, right?
In reality, and most industry people know this, low sales numbers isn't the real harbinger for ALIAS. No, it's "doomsayer," goes by the name "Mike S. Miller." This thing has had failure written all over it, even before it got started. It would great if we could get a new publisher into the market place that truly understood it and could back what they say that they represent. In all likelihood, ALIAS will stay around much longer than most will expect, as the HUGE, bigoted ego involved has too much at stake (not money) and will go kicking and screaming into the sanatarium.
